Which Archetype Caught Your Eye?

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 9:17 am

The Anger and the bug. Totally these two. If I had seen the Eel earlier I prob would have included it.

Gotta Love The Anger and The Bug, their battle in the original cenimatic was just... Epic for a lack of a better word.
I would've Loved to see the Eel in the original trailer, I can only imagine what damage The Eel would've been capable of. Lol

I wish I would've seen The Firestarter earlier on, I'd have definitely included him!

There's always gonna be people who over-indulge in something that's "Cool" weither it be in Music, or in this case, an Archetype. Either way, we just gotta pass said people by and enjoy what we enjoy, and not let others ruin said interest for ourselves. Eventually said persons will tire of it and balance is restored slowly, but indefinitely.

Exactly, and you must admit, those two draw most of the attention towards the game, from an archetype stand-point that is. Smart marketing strategy there. [Pun not intended.]

Completely understandable, but there's a difference between liking a path because it's one you enjoy and "Let's all follow THIS path because such and such people are following it." Nothing wrong with paving your own path, I encourage that, but... In example with music, If I find a band that I relate to and LOVE, it can have/gain all the fans in the world, but so long as I can continue to relate to said artist and their music, and actually, genuinely ENJOY it, it doesnt matter who "follows" said artist. Said Band-Wagoners might not even exist to me as long as the music and I continue to strive. The path may be beaten, but its still one that contains memories and a past that tells a story of its own, nomatter who has traversed it, yeah?

I endorse this comment even though I find it annoying when people deliberately avoid something they like just because everyone else is doing it. :celebration:

The Shield set off my radar, and i 1st saw it in the customization video with Paul Wedgewood. It just looks so damn sturdy, but rugged enough for an engineer!

Yeah, they look different than most shooter-game characters (and colorful, too), especially since most shooters have either space military dudes or WWII / U.S. soldiers.

I like bits and bobs, none of the archetypes completely and even none of the examples in the official gallery.

If I had to pick a favourite it would probably be a cross between the Good Cop, the Bomb, and especially the Shield.
