11,11,11...which 11,11 ,11 are we talking about.

Right now, im currently a little PO. Im not pissed that attributes are gone or anything like that. Im not pissed that the game is comming out on Remembrence Day. Im pissed that once again, because i dont line North America, that yet again ive had to wait for no logical reason to play a game that ive already brought ( Hunted). Now i understand that before we had the ability of Digital Distrubition, that we could face shipping delays due to countries being all over the place and bad weather. However in this day and age its time for all publishers to start doing world wide releases. Bethesda is is own publisher now, if a game is going to need to activiated online by steam or GFWL, I emplore you. Release the game to the whole world at 00:01 11/Nov/2011 GMT. Even my local ( 45min drive) EB games store gets its games delivered at least 2 days before a release.

World Wide release on 11/Nov/2011 GMT. heres a list of times at which the game would be able to buy/install: New Zealand would get the game at 12noon 11/NOV/2011. East Coast Australia 10am 11/11/11. East Cost USA (new york) would get the game at 8pm 10/11/2011. West Cost USA ( LA) would get it at 5pm on the 10/11/2011.

World Wide release dates for Digital distrubtion makes sense, cuts down on complaints about not being able to play a game even though its been released, and also it helps to slow down piracy. Belive it or not, having seprated release dates for different regions does affect how much a title will be pirated. Ask russian developer GSC the makers of the STALKER series about what happened when the last game was rleased in only russia and held back for a 5 months from the rest of the world.

Oh and one more thing. TO Zenimax media: STOP PRICE GOUGING AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMERS JUST BECAUSE THE AUSTRALIAN DOLLAR IS JUST A TAD ABOVE PARITY TO THE US DOLLAR.

Oh thanks god for that! im just sick and tired of this BS with games being released in one part of mthe rold on a set adate and another part has wait 2days up to 5months for it. this thread was made because Hunted was released in the US 2 days agaon and for a full 48 hrs the Store page of the Australian Steam page had it as released, but no aussie could download it or play it. yes steam [censored] up, but this wouldnt of happend if it was a world wide release.

@ Dirishman9
East Cost USA (new york) would get the game at 8pm 10/11/2011. West Cost USA ( LA) would get it at 5pm on the 10/11/2011. 10 comes before 11

Be happy you can pre order it. I'm so poor, if I go near anything over $50 I bleed from the eyes.
I don't know how long it will be until I have Skyrim.

I think OP needs to 'take a chill pill' as the saying goes..... :celebrate:

I'm planning to buy the game on the day of release, but if something happens that day that means I don't get it until the next day... well, in the overall scheme of things it hardly earth shattering. We've waited FIVE YEARS for the game...one more day really won't hurt...

Bethesda was their own publisher for Morrowind and Oblivion as well, practically all of their games. Previously they did not have European and Asian offices and needed to have local publishers for these regions, and they still use local publishers for Oceana, Eastern Europe, and possibly other locations as well (from my understanding).

If the game does require Steam and needs to be unlocked I suspect it will happen at midnight Eastern (Bethesda's time zone) or perhaps midnight Pacific.

Stores get their copies a few days before release so the release can be synchronized, otherwise some would get it before others and there would be a scramble among the stores to get the earliest shipments.

I'm in Australia and I have to admit I don't understand why you'd be pissed off. It would be nice if the game was released on the 'release day' Worldwide meaning that we'd have access to it 11/11/11 and the Americans 11/11/11 however I think it would be seen as a tad unfair by the 'home country' of the developer. I'm really ok with waiting that extra day if I really have to.

Ubisoft did help to publish Morrowind in Europe, yeah. But Bethesda published the game on their own in North America. So they were some of the "local publishers" Hungry Donner mentioned :)

Does the OP have any clue what they are talking about? How does using GMT time mean Americans get it in October?

I think it was a typo... he meant 10/11/11... but more likely, we'll get it 11/11/11, and he'll get it 11/12/13. Because Australia hates video games.

And I sure as hell hope Skyrim doesn't require Steam. I don't mind if they distribute it through Steam, but I hope I can get a license for the game that doesn't require me to download and install malware to run. Yes, Steam can be classified as Malware. I know if they make a malware-free version, the game won't be pirated as badly.
