I really wouldn't change it much from Oblivion but I wouldn't mind Stealth or Magic getting some improvements.

Done

Cool, I went with that. They need to tweak all of it, the magic needs to be more that "LOL I BLAST U!!1", the stealth needs to be stealthier, and if I swing a sword at someones face I don't want to hear "Is that the best you can do?".

Precisely my thoughts.

"You move like a pregnant cow!"
"DUDE! I'm spinning circles around you, and chopped both of your arms off! Can you seriously still be saying that!?!"

In a way definitely stealth... But then again, not in the combat sense, which is what you seem to be primarily referring to... Therefore, all of the above... Though I still put my vote on stealth because I can't stand a game that puts thief as a class, and then makes thievery completely pointless and futile...

Magic was shooting balls of fire/ice/electricity/plain magic with different damage points.
Stealth was atleast a bit halfgood... Just make the guards less psychic and stealth attacks more dangerous.
Fighting was block, hit hit, block... and repeat. and repeat. and repeat. and repeat. Until dead.

So, all of them.

I picked all of the above, because while there is really nothing wrong with the system on the current game, I believe that there will be vast improvments on all fronts.

yes, i'm sorry... i had to do it at least once.

But I voted honestly - all. Let me elaborate:

1) Stealth - actually, the area that needs less improvement, the most annoying was done well with the mod No Psychic Guards. But also, even with Chameleon 90%, I should not have the following dialog:

Cave Thief 1: "Whats this?"
Me: Sneak Poisoned Arrow
Cave Thief 2: :dead:
Cave Thief 1: "Must be the wind!"

Please...

2) Magic
I'd like to see spell power (damage, duration etc...) somehow get better with level or skill advance, not a fixed amount as it currently is.

3) Combat
Specifically, using Blunt, Blade and Axes should have different damage ranges, speed values and master skill perks. As it is now, they are all the same.

all of the above a thousand times ALL OF THE ABOVE

magic was lame.

stealth was lame.

combat was lame after a while.

1-make magic JAW dropping.

2-make stealth JUST LIKE THIEF, if it ain't broke don't fix it, its the best stealth fantasy game, hmmmmm.... maybe you should, I don't know, PLAY IT AND LEARN STUFF FROM IT.

3-make combat fun, fast deadly arrows, parry, make us FEEL that we have a frigging body, play dark messiah.

you know what Bethesda I love you guys to death, but here is an advice... play other games, learn from other games, make your stuff better than other games, and you will be the best all the time, don't let some sale number tell you if your game is good or not, YOU be the ones that judge if the game is good enough for YOU, make games that YOU are proud of.

Magic probably. I liked the magic in Dragon Age: Origins a lot. In TES it's like shooting arrows of fire out of your hand.

I didn't mind the combat and magic in Oblivion. I voted Stealth, because squatting and walking slowly doesn't make you an invisible master thief. There should be more to it than that, surely.

I too enjoyed playing Morrowiind and Oblivion and thought both games were really fun. I voted for stealth because I think there can be a greater risk/reward system implemented into the combat and thievery aspects of stealth.

All could use improvement really. Magic is in the biggest need imo. Combat, though a major improvement upon past TES games, could still use a lot of work. I was pretty satisfied with stealth except for a few minor things. It could still be greatly improved upon.

Atmosphere, story, dialog and character depth is what makes a rpg good.

Really, combat only needs a bit more tweaking, but stealth and magic are the ones that need the overhaul.
