Which Bonus Content?

Post » Sat Sep 18, 2010 10:26 pm

Hi. I'm going to preorder NV Collector's Edition for the PC, and the only deciding factor between where to buy from is the Bonus Pack I get.

BestBuy - Mercenary Pack:
Lightweight Metal Armor
Modified for long-range travel, this metal armor sacrifices some protection for mobility and overall weight.

Mercenary's Grenade Rifle
Though similar to other 40mm grenade rifles in the Mojave Wasteland, this model has a faster reload cycle.

3 Super Stimpaks
When you absolutely, positively, need to keep your blood inside your body, Super Stimpaks fix you up in no time.

3 Doctors Bags
Mercenaries and broken limbs go together like Iguana-on-a-Stick and Nuka Cola. Thankfully, these Doctors Bags take a bit of the sting out of the inevitable crushed skull.

GameStop - Classic Pack
Armored Vault 13 Suit - Extensively patched up and dotted with piecemeal armor, this outfit is an homage to the classic ending of the original Fallout.

Vault 13 Canteen - This handy device is useful for staving off dehydration and providing a small amount of healing in the Mojave Wasteland.

Weathered 10mm Pistol - A well-worn 10mm pistol that packs an extra punch despite its modest size.

5 Stimpaks - Food and water are good for long-term healing, but when the fighting is fierce, Stimpaks help keep Wastelanders upright.

Which should I get?

Take my advice, kemosabe. Never take advice from an online forum. Take your gut instinct and run with it.

It may seem counterproductive, but believe me, it's in his best interest. We really are too full of ourselves to know what we're talking about.

I'm not full of myself...I'm filled with broken dreams and slight dislike for the Empire

Which empire? The Galactic Empire, Britannian Empire, Deathshead Empire (ooh, Rifts reference), the Roman Empire?

What has this discussion become? I don't really have a favorite play style, although I prefer Small Guns and Energy guns. Anyways, I think I'll get the Gamestop one just because Best Buy seems pretty meh and I love Vault 13.

Hmm... what could you do? Maybe you could refer to the hundreds of other threads with the exact same subject that have already been discussed instead of starting an identical new one! Sorry, I'm just tired of the same threads on the exact same subject.

I'll still answer, but it'd be great to make a point out of this. As someone said, this thread has been done before. Now, earlier I had a thread (about something else, not preorders) with similarities, albeit with a distinct difference. And it was locked rather quickly. But, threads like this are not locked. I have to say, it ruffles my feathers a bit.

On topic: I would say Caravan. Binoculars and a nice shotgun can solve most of your problems.

i think mercenary seems more tactical (weapons and help with the wastes) and the classic is more flashy (jumpsuit, canteen) go with whatever suits your intrest. i personally picked mercinarry

I got Classic. 10mm ammo is more common than 40mm grenades. And that canteen looks nice.

We have a nice Poll thread with a good discussion already on the Pre-Order Packs, lets fill that one up before we make more. If you want to carry over a post from this thread, then just hit the Quote button there and reply to the thread linked below

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1098838-the-pre-order-packs/

Thank you
