Just curious wich character you going to build, I wil go for a Stealth/thief/speech/assasin/sniper build like i did with the previous games. Wil keep strength low now since i dont expect an anti material rifle in FO4.

The only skill I am sure about at the moment is energy weapons.
I will probably max intelligence, but if I don't like what I see out of I9 and I10 I will bring intelligence down to 8 for the Robotics perk. It just seems like having a high intelligence will give the game more depth this time around.
definitely stealth, i'm always a fan of the sneaky style of play and if beth has put a lot of speech stuff into the game i would love to play a smooth talker despite the dialogue system
I will have several characters I alternate with very different builds. My SOP with these sorts of games.
I've lately been enjoying a sneaky build in New Vegas, might try something similar. Though if I can be decked out in power armor and have a brutal melee weapon, that's probably what I'll go with.
On the first playthrough it will be one that revolves around Agility and Intelligence, focusing on energy weapons, sneak, and science. Perks associated with those three should easily be found in those two attributes. It has been my usual build for all of the Fallout games, save for the use of sneak in the original ones.
Although I will probably use some power armor on occasion as well. Can't pass up on the returning advanced power armor.
For Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, I always maxed out Intelligence and it's related Skills and Perks. I liked energy weapons, but I really liked hacking computer terminals and reading all of the hidden files and documents. I guess it comes with being a Computer Science student.
So naturally I am going to continue this path in Fallout 4. I will prioritize on maxing out Intelligence and it's Perks. The new armor and weapon customization seemingly requiring Intelligence Perks, as well as all of the different things you can do with electricity and computer terminals in settlement building, gives me more push to, once again, create my Mad Scientist Super Villain.
The wasteland tough guy, strong and intelligent... but also can sometimes pull a speech out of his rectum. I'll be focusing on strength, intelligence, and a little bit of charisma.
I...don't really know. All I know is that I will start pretty average and then focus on intelligence and luck, possibly perception.
Since INT (apparently) is not going to be as all-important as it was in previous games, I may drop down to 7 or 8, which would let me boost AGI/PER/CHA to help with a sneaky sniper build. Never fond of random chance (good or bad) so Luck may suffer, and have zero interest in melee or tanking so STR and END bottom out, too. I would prefer to be able to do everything ~somewhat~ well than excel at one thing, at the expense of other things. Like, I would rather be able to hack some computers and pick some locks, instead of being able to hack any computer and yet be stumped by most locks. Jill-of-all-trades may take some time to build up, though.
Focusing on sneak, moderate damage, firing and reloading fast.
I'll always try to ambush enemies to make my appearance and then start spraying all over them with revolvers.
Female Melee Brute. Max ST. Just enough AGI for Slayer. Still can't decide which non-combat skill to max, INT or CH (I'm guessing high CH is a requirement for high Speech now.)
Absolutely agree. I've finished what I think my build is going to be, and high int/charisma is what I'm heading for. Everything else, except for Endurance is basically 1. The story-based game is far too tempting an offer for an int playthrough that first time round I'll be maxing either of those out.
I don't have a clue. Is there somewhere we can go and read what perks we need for what so we can plan ahead to build our first character?
I saw someone mention having Intelligence at 8 to get a robotic perk. How do they know that? May I go there to see this info? If so where?
Really going to have to peek at the perk / advancement system first. Normally I'm in for sneaking, silenced weapons, and conventional assault weapons when things get load.
Depending on how early we get power armor, I might switch to a heavy armor + melee.
Power assisted metal bat swing? Yes please.
A max strength and endurance bruiser with a focus on close combat, as well as a little bit of perception and intelligence to properly use and craft big guns and explosives.
Intelligent, perceptive guy who can talk his way out of most situations. Lacks agility, endurance and strength, but is still a hell of a shot. Probably use Energy Weapons because it fits in with my character's Science focus.
