Which city would you like to revisit in a future TES game?

Post » Sun Oct 31, 2010 12:38 pm

I only played Morrowind, vanilla Oblivion and a bit of Daggerfall and there's a limit of only 20 choices for one question, so if you'd like to see a different city remade, just choose "Other" and tell us, why you want to see it again! Enjoy!

Oh, and my choice is Balmora - firstly because I would like to visit Vvardenfell again, but not as just a mod or Morrowind remake, but as part of a new game with new storyline; and secondly because it was the first regular city that I have visited in Tamriel and I am most attached to it (the first impression I got after getting off the strider and walking down the ramp into a mist-covered city was stunning).

I'd like to see Vivec once again. Especially now, in ruins as it is. Daggerfall would also be interesting, I think.

The Imperial City gets my vote. It's the capital of the former Empire and I want to see how it's changed by the time of some future Elder Scrolls game.

Ideally? All of them. First off, every city in Cyrodiil has quite a bit of potential to be interesting if revisited - especially if Bethesda decides to suddenly turn the place back into a jungle, or at least remove some of the more isolated cities from the Imperial infrastructure. I could imagine Cheydinhal falling into the hands of an upstart political ruler from Morrowind, as an example.

Daggerfall could look really interesting on modern tech, and I'm certainly hoping to an extent we get some chaotic and crowded Skyrim cities of this style. If Bethesda utilizes "generic" NPCs as they did with Fallout 3, you could certainly expand the cities a fair bit. Politically, I'd love to see how Gothryd and Aubk-i are doing following the Warp in the West. It's been said in the PGE3 that they're still beloved, although I see plenty of room for some awesome plot involving Sentinel conspirators or something of the sort.

The Imperial City gets my vote. It's the capital of the former Empire and I want to see how it's changed by the time of some future Elder Scrolls game.

I agree. Gee, I feel as if either your views are becoming more and more moderate or I'm getting soft in my not-old age. By the time TES V is released we may merge into one entity! :ahhh:

I would like to see Daggerfall if I had to choose one. I've never seen it or played the game. Morrowind including Mournhold and Solstheim would be interesting.

I'd like to see Daggerfall with new, updated graphics.

If I had to choose just one, Seyda Neen (and the surrounding region, if I get to be reaaally greedy :P). Seyda Neen was my first TES experience, and I just love the marshy, boggy and close atmosphere of the place. Beautiful in it's gross sliminess, somehow. Sadrith Mora (and the Telvanni towers) is(/are) a close second if not even tied. I love the Telvanni architecture.

If I get to be even more greedy, the whole of Morrowind + Mournhold. :whistling:

Opps, I misread the poll...I assumed I'd vote for which city I'd like to revisit in a future game. I chose Mournhold because in its original incarnation I was NOT captivated at all, and I thought i should have been, seeing as it was a "city of light, city of magic" and it just didn't seem very grand or beautiful to me. If they ncluded it in a future game, I'd like to see it a bit more "grandified".

As far as for what city captivated me the most, I'd have to say Sadrith Mora...at that point, I'd never seen a city in a game like that, and finding it for the first time exploring I was awestruck, especially with the Council house (exterior and interior) and the awesome huge wizard mushroom towers, and the quaint little mushroom pod houses were always such fun for my on-the-go adventurers to stay in.
