Which Civil War ending is canon? *spoilers*

I just finished the Stormcloak campaign, and I am wondering if it will be canon, or if the Empire will remain in Skyrim? How would that be decided?

Nobody knows. Though I honestly wouldn't be surprised if another Dragon Break occured.

Accepted, official, true lore that will go on/be kept in the series.

That kind of bugs me. I care a lot about the lore of TES. Whether or not the Empire remains in control of Skyrim is a big deal.

Unfortunately I think it's the Stormcloak rebellion that's going to be canon. Notice how Ulfric Stormcloak also uses the Dragon Shout? I bet his troops are destined to march all over the rest of the Empire after he's proclaimed High King and the Nords will eventually take IC and proclaim him Emperor as well. It's the beginning of a new dynasty. Then, they will take on the Thalmor.

Only a theory. I fight for the Empire though.

No, the way that these games roll up their canon in the past, I'm betting that what happens is that Thalmor just does a surprise attack, takes Skyrim, and renders who owned it before that a completely moot point, thus making it so it doesn't matter who won the civil war.

Damn. That's also plausible. I hate the Thalmor.

Both are canon. Whenever a choice comes up, all count.

Either because they're treated vaguely or some other event happens that makes it all irrelevant. Like Vivec's disappearance.
