If DLC is important to you, get it for the 360. XBL will most likely get Skyrim DLC befoe PSN.

It basically comes down to how comfortable you are with either console. Hopefully PS3 gets equal treatment, they usually get the short end the stick. ie. bad ports, delayed DLC release.

I don't know, I worry about my Xbox going red ring of death on me, but the PS3 version might not have the same graphics

Todd stated both would have the same graphics. He didn't state if they would have the same framerate, but they are, more-or-less, stated to have the same graphics.

I have both a PS3 and a 360 too. I'm going with the PS3 version. They won't have to compress files on the Blu ray like they will have to on the dvd.

It doesn't really matter the graphical differences are so small it not worth bothering with, the xbox might be more stable as the game is being developed on it but the stability differences will most likely also be minute so I'd say just get it for which ever consoles controls you prefer im going to be playing on ps3 because I don't have an xbox or a capable pc but whicher ever you choose the game will be awesome

You do know the Ps3 version of Oblivion had better graphics than the 360 version and that usualy the case for most games and i have both so i m not being a really devoted fan or anything just saying

It only takes a week and a half, to two weeks to fix RROD and its free. Like others have said. PS3 might get the raw deal with bugs/glitches/etc. and delayed DLC. But it will probably have better load times

Don't worry about the graphics as they have said numerous times that they are going to make the graphics as similar as possible for Xbox, PS3 and PC.

I'd go with Xbox 360 for looks, also online services.

Looking at comparison vids between the three platforms [PC, PS3, Xbox], 360 consistently looked better overall to me than PS3. Not even bashing PS3, as I own one and play it often. 360 just had a better look, for whatever reason.

Also, dunno if you heard, but PSN was hacked and apparently a lot of personal info was leaked.

But whatever your personal preference is, man. Take into consideration how each controller feels to you, etc.

There won't be any noticeable difference between the two. I'd get it for whichever you do most of your gaming on.

It's still more than 6 months before Skyrim's release. You don't have to make a definite decision, now. Of course, Bethesda won't come straight out say one version has less bugs, or something else relating to technical shortcomings, but we're bound to get some PS3 footage and screenshots sometime before release and you could compare those to the 360 version, if you wish. You could even wait until after release to buy a copy so you could get a look at some reviews of both versions.

also a good point, I'm still most likely gonna get it on PS3 tho, since Xbox360 is more my competitive gaming console (Halo, COD etc.)

If I had to chose between the two(thankfully I don't), I'd go for the 360 version since Bethesda obviously favors it more than the PS3.

That's not what the OP asked. In fact, the OP specifically stated that would not be an option.

Both are exactly the same in the end and you will pretty much have the same experience. I personally use a 360 controller and PS3 controller frequently although I don't have a 360 :P but ya either one will be the same no matter how many die hard [censored] come in saying otherwise theres only one platform that will give you a different experience and you do not want that so.

360. Because it will get dlc before PS3. Very likely at least.

Easy - rent the game on both versions and pick the one that feels right - I have both but am getting it for PC first :)

Todd Howard said that it runs more smoothly on the 360. I'm about to switch to the 360 now that Sonys PSN is down. I hate hackers. They have no life and deserve to be locked up for the rest of their lives.
