Hircine, or Sanguine.

I wonder, would Namira welcome Argonians...? Aside from that, I wish to revoke my vote for The Huntsman (Though He remains one of my more favored Lords), and cast my vote for Lord Mora!

Hear me fellows! I speak in the name of Mora! Have you lost an item of valuble, or had one stole? Mora knows it's location! Wish to learn where the Dwemer REALLY went? The answer lies on the shelves of Apocrypha! Ever wish Hear me, follow Mora and all your questions shall be met with answers! You don't know Apocrypha at all do you? You seek anything in there and you will never find it. It's like the Elder Scrolls equivalent of TVTropes. Every book has no discerning marks to differentiate it from the next. It is an endless search never sated.

Hircine, Nocturnal and Sanguine.

Hircine because he is just a total badass and his realm is just one big hunting ground.

Nocturnal for the same reasons that TES_Ronin gave above. I live at night.

But most of all Sanguine because six, alcohol and partying all the time just seems plain old FUN! :celebration: :foodndrink: :mohawk:

Why's Mankar not in league with ol' Dagon? XD

Yes, should they look ugly enough.

You know, his library is pretty much tvtropes.org. You will find everything except what you were really looking for. Oh yeah, and all the books look the same, so don't be surprised if you pull the same book 50 times within the first week.

Ignorant mortals, easily swayed by petty desires, and tricked with half assed traps.

Sheogorath, but not the Shivering Isles incarnation. While I think Bethesda did a fairly good job with it, that Sheogorath seemed more eccentric than mad.

Hermaeus Mora

Forbidden knowledge?

Gotta be something in there about becoming super powerful through some magic ritual or learning how to have complete control over magic and never running out or something like that

You'll learn everything BUT what you want, and all the books have no labels. There's a reason why there are wraiths wandering for all of time still looking for what they set out to look for.

Join chaos instead. You'll learn all you wanted to know, at the price of just your soul...maybe a mutation here and a mutation there...and possibly turning into an insane mass of wtf or a demon prince! It's better than going to some dumb library where you can't find what you want.

Azura because she's got the best artifact which has been around since the days of Daggerfall.

At first I was leaning toward good ol' Mora because I love knowing and learning, but as was revealed here, he is a basically a trap for scholars and the like.

1. Hircine because I love his style. He hunts for the sport of it instead of just killing, and he will always give a fair chance: otherwise it wouldn't be much of a challenge. I had an interest in him before I even got the chance to play Bloodmoon. (He has were-creatures too, but it would be a bad idea just to sign up for that)

2. Malacath. I love orcs and the underdogs which he sort of represents and he has more honor than most princes. Only problem here is I tend to play mage or stealth characters and Malacath tends not to favor the physically weak.

3. Sheo, for the inspiration madness brings. I'm a bit eccentric, yet I wouldn't go as far to say I'm mad. Sheogorath also scares me somewhat as I have no idea what the hell he is going to do next. In SI I only talked to him when it was necessary because I wasn't sure if would randomly kill me. Which is why he's my third choice.

And I understand Dagon isn't pure evil as he is often depicted, but I can't let him destroy the world... I'm using it right now. :stare:

Jyggalag is my choice without question. I always find myself finding fault in others due to their lack of order and reason. It leads a slightly pessimistic, yet sarcastic, lifestyle that I very much enjoy. Order Is the one thing I believe this world is in need of and I find my political standpoints to fall along this avenue of world order and peace.

I think love would be non-existing in Jyggalags world. Too spontanous. Wanna have that do you? I guess every person would try to breed with another person every 5 years or something, when they are over 18. Just some random wo/man from the streets.

That is the reality you would be facing!
Find that funny? Shouldnt think so.

Sheogorath, Knowledge is there. Those who believe it cant be found are clearly not of enough strength in mind as us, true believers!

Hircine's sense of "fairness" is that he'll kill you later with a chase, as opposed to kill you instantly.

Hircine gives all mortals a chance to fight fairly. The Nerevarine only fought one aspect of Hircine. He was given a good chance. And you can see this by the fact that the Nerevarine survived the hunt.

Man, where's the love for Molag Bal? Sure, he might have a FEW undesirable traits, but he's the only guy with a master level trainer at his shrine! I'd hang out there just to conjure up daedra and necromance all day.

Also, he's the one Daedric Prince that REALLY lets you know where you stand. Sure, he might be interested in enslaving all mortals, but at least you know what you're getting with him. Not to mention he created the first vampire. How cool is THAT?

Most importantly, here's why I wouldn't follow any of the other princes

Azura - Some jerk I don't know could piss her off and end up screwing up my entire race

Boethiah - You'd probably end up in Oblivion's arena counterpart

Clavicus Vile - There's like a 99% chance you'd lose out on any deals made with him

Hermaeus Mora - Actually, Cthulu-like crab monsters are pretty cool, so he'd be a decent second choice

Hircine - I'm soft and squishy, so I'm pretty sure I'd be in the "prey" category

Jyggalag - Boooring. Would be much more interesting if he was the Daedric lord of biscuits

Malacath - If he isn't popular at parties, imagine how much people would like a lowly follower of him

Mehrunes Dagon - He's pretty cool, but his followers don't have a good track record at not getting killed

Mephala - The lulziest of the Daedric princes, but you'd never know if she'd turn on you for a few lulz

Meridia - Hates the undead, but zombies are cool. Next.

Namira - Yeah, I'd love to be rewarded with the ability to have whatever crippling disease I wanted

Nocturnal - Yeah, the Daedric prince venerated by thieves was mugged by a mere mortal. Sounds like a real powerful patron to me

Peryite - High chance of sitting around comatose until some jerk hero wanders across you

Sanguine - Sounds fun at first, but lets not forget who gives you the location of his shrine. I think zombies are cool and all, but I REALLY don't want to hang out with Falanu Hlalu and rack up the 500 gold fines.

Sheogorath - Decent second choice, but ONLY if I'd get to summon Haskill.

Vaermina - Loses points for making you go through one of the only dungeons in Oblivion I can think of with bottomless pits. Also nightmares and torture just aren't as efficient as Molag Bal's real life nightmares and torture.

You'd want to be a paranoid, schizophrenic, arsonists (etc, etc)? Following Sheogorath isn't supposed to be fun. He performs various "evil" deeds throughout TES before SI. Imo, he has to be the most awful god to worship. With everyone else, at least you know what they're about, sheogorath is unpredictable. And mental attacks can be far worse than physical ones. (What's worse, getting a mental disability, or losing a limb in battle?)

I could get down with Hircine. As he is fairish. Believes in the challenge of the hunt and honor. I can respect that.

And Nocturnal. Seeing as how I tend to favor stealthy characters.

I also love mages... Most of them don't worship anyone in particular but attempt to learn from all.
