Which Daedra Lord/s would you want to worship if you had to

Post » Sat Dec 03, 2011 9:04 am

I would worship Akatosh, cause he is way more awesome than any of the Daedra.

But, if I had to choose, I would probably pick Mephala or Nocturnal.

Good Daedra all the way! Simply because I am in love with Dunmeri culture and they are/were its patrons.

I could get down with Hircine. As he is fairish. Believes in the challenge of the hunt and honor. I can respect that.

:disguise:

Some people don't actually get the Daedric Princes, do they? Azura and Sheogorath are some of the most awful princes to worship. Torture (to death) is worse than death.

M'aiq would rather collect Calipers than worship the Daedra. They are nothing to be trifled with...

I said Hermaeus Mora in my original post, but I'm going to change that. Knowledge sounds good, but from what I've read it sounds like you'll end up with a lifetime of something like "Where did I put my car keys?"

Nocturnal sounds good enough, although she's pretty shrouded in mystery. But skulking around in the shadows sounds better than some of the alternatives.

Peryite because I like order and he seems to be pretty down-to-earth compared to some more arrogant Daedra. I don't know about pestilence though.

And last, I think I'll add Malacath and Hircine as possible candidates, the 2 top candidates actually. The more I think about possible Daedra to worship, the better they sound.

Edit: Since the thread was necroed, I might just as well update my post.

Azura. Her artifact is too damn useful. Yeah, pretty shallow, I know.

Sheogorath, for he is the party animal!

I was thinking Azura, but the adoring fan ruined my faith in Azura. :/

To the people saying that they would like to worship Hermaeus-Mora; read http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Doors_of_Oblivion
There is possibly another place to learn the knowledge about Hermaeus-Mora but a good story will get the message across more effectively.

I forget who it was that posted the link for "The Doors to Oblivion" but thanks, 'twas a good read.

Even though I voted a while ago, I've gotta say I like the Nine Divines better. If you read a lot of books in the game, and pay attention to everybody's creation beliefs, in all of them the gods all sacrificed parts of themselves to create the world, and lost much of their power. Some beliefs even point out that some of the lesser spirits may have turned into mortals to help the world remain stable... gotta respect them for that.

I've also read that Daedra are intrigued with the ambitions of mortal beings, and like to mess with them and take away the ones that the Gods smile upon. :/

The Daedra are too unstable and unpredictable. They could like the idea of you living for one minute, and the next they could decide they want you to be trapped and tortured until you die because they find death intriguing. Even if some of them do have "favorites", not everybody who worships a Daedra can be a "Favorite" so you've gotta be special or no Daedra will care. However, it's said that the Nine Divines love all mortals and want them to all love eachother as the Divines love each and every one of them. I mean if they sacrifice their power just so that you could exist, that's gotta be worth something, right? Even if they did it on accident, they've shown in the past that they care about the future of the world.

The Daedra are too shady and "stab you in the back" for me. I think I'd consider worshiping Azura, but that's probably the only one, unless Meridia wouldn't just want to use me for her own benefit as well. But all of the Daedra require something of you, while the Gods ask for nothing and still guard and protect you, they don't even ask for your love, like Azura requires.

I'd have to choose between 3

Hircine is my number 1 choice. Beign part of the hunt and becoming a werewolf would be soo awesome, Bloodmoon was my most favorite part of TES III

Sheagorath would be my number 2 Just becasue of how incredibly fun and mental it would be to serve him =D

And lastly Nocturne, as i love the concept of being able to blend into darkness which is basically nocturnes thing.

I changed my mind. I would worship the Khajiiti Alkosh. Way cooler than Akatosh or any Daedric Prince.

Sanguine - Sounds fun at first, but lets not forget who gives you the location of his shrine. I think zombies are cool and all, but I REALLY don't want to hang out with Falanu Hlalu and rack up the 500 gold fines.

Aw, where's your adventurous spirit?

I thought Tamriel was just another Daedric realm? They say something about that in the main quest line...

I would choose Lord Mehrunes Dagon, his sphere is awe inspiring, besides destruction makes way for new creation.

As for those choosing Prince H. Mora, he's NOT julianos for Oblivion's sake, H.Mora's knowledge is forbidden, forbidden knowledge SOUNDS interesting but it is not. Some knowledge is better off staying obsured and unknown for the benefit of all for good reason.

Just remember, the daedra lords aren't going to tailor their tasks to your benefit, they have their own agenda. The traffic with mortals to increase their power, not because they like them.
If you think a daedric prince would care about you let me tell you, you are wrong.

The daedra aren't hated for nothing in Tamrial. It would be wise to remember this.

I always say, Pray to Mara for Love. Pray to Sanquine to keep the physical pleasure going.

It suits them.

I choose Meridia, I think she is an Elven version of Kynareth. Or possibly the real power behind Arkay.

I can't decide between Sheogorath or Sanguine. On one hand you get to be bat [censored] crazy, on the other hand, Sanguine is the Daedric prince of debauchery, which is also great.

I gave my vote to Meridia. Down with the undead!

My favorite Daedra lord is Azura, though I would never worship her. Too unstable, I'd rather not put my life in the hands of someone like her.

Ya rez a thread to ask that question?

Anyways, for starter, I assume ya referring to Mankar Camoran, which I would say that he is bat crap insane and rambling how Mundus is Lorkhan's Daedric Realm, though in reality, its a work of the Divines while Lorkhan suggest/trick the Divines into making Mundus. This old thread explain it better than I do: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1138236-what-daedra-is-mundus

My first pick would be Sheogorath. Who else could have made the adoring fan, and then mask his true ties by saying "By Azura!" all the time? Also, I have some sort of feeling that the wood elf beggar in Tribunal was in fact Sheogorath. And who doesn't like cheese?

Hircine follows close in second. I've simply loved werewolves ever since I heard about them.

That's a loaded question. All of the Daedric Princes are interesting to me in their own way. It's a bit disturbing looking at the results for this poll though. Worshiping Sheogorath would lead to going insane. Worshiping Molag Bal...yikes! The fact that anyone in the Elder Scrolls series at all worships him frightens me. He's the enslaver of men, the corruptor, the king of [censored]. Sure, he's a badass...but yikes! I wouldn't want him summoned anywhere near me.

I think I'd go with Hermaeus Mora. He seems like he's got his stuff together.

None. But if I wanted to live as a puppet I would worship Sanguine. At least there would be a little pleasure in my life that way.
