Which Daedric Prince will claim the Dovahkiin's soul?

Well, I told Hermaeus Mora and Hircine to piss off. My DB belongs to Nocturnal.

Pretty sure canon lore suggests that if it's possible for the protagonist to do it, he/she will.

So lore-wise the protagonist is a schizofrenic omnibus that claims everything possible while constantly contradicting himself along the way?

It was possible for the Nerevarine to kill off Telvanni Mage-Lords for Archmage Trebonius of the Mages Guild. And yet Neloth is in the DLC.

I would rather say that "everything is canon" approach not because one person did all of it, but rather not to 'alienate' some players who chose different outcomes with being less valid than others.

How is it known that vampires are bound to Molag Bal after they die?

Does this apply to cured vampires? Since it doesn't to werewolves, probably not, as entering Soul Cairn would irreversably doom the Dragonborn's soul (doubtful), but I'm curious about the source.
Yes vampires will go to molag bal since when you become a vampire you are "corrupted" he is the father for vampires and the patron deity. Plus when you become a vampire your whole personality changes you become more like molag bal in some forms heck vampires have tiny bit of his blood running through their veins.

If you are cured you offer another person soul to get yours back that's the whole point of failon cure. You are offering a soul to oblivion to restore life to your body. So same with a werewolf if you cure yourself you good to go. Hircine or molag won't get you.

Plus where are you getting the idea that soul cairn will doom your soul? You were only partially soul trapped(If dawnguard) and plus you get that piece back on the way out. If you are a vampire you are technically dead so you can't be drained of your soul in that plane.

At the very least, it's that the major events -may- have been in place by the actions of the player character.

Neloth is a very interesting exception though.

If you are a vampire Molag bal is getting you. Going by the dialouge when you cure vamprism molag bal owns you.

If you are a werewolf Hircine is getting you. The whole point of the companions that those who die as a werewolf go to hunting grounds

If you are a nightengale Nocturnal is getting you. Tsun even tells you in the main questline that you are bound to nocturnal if you are a nightengale.

HM may have a claim depends if your dovahkin wishes to serve him thanks to the dragonborn dlc.

Akatosh won't save your soul. Did he save Miraak soul when he died? No HM got him since Miraak pleged himself to HM for power. Did akatosh save the undead dragon in dawnguard when he pledged himself to the ideal masters for more power over necromancy? No he needed dovahkin's help just to have a few minutes of fresh air on tamriel. Going by events from the game so far yes a deadra can Claim dovhakin soul if you avoid becoming a vampire, werewolf or nightengale and reject HM if he ever comes back you dovahkin soul is safe.

Don't go throwing around your soul or become agents(nightengale)/creatures(vampire/werewolf) of deadra if you want to go to the afterlife your character desires.

There it is, plus what was said earlier about Tsun stating that you belong to Nocturnal if you are a Nightingale is pretty much the nail in the coffin.

Just hinted that Sheo is from that game, not that the champion necessarily was the Gray Fox and Listener. He could have just heard of those events.

Why not? Nothing conflicted in Oblivion with the Champion becoming the Gray Fox, Listener, Archmage, etc. The fact is he became Sheogorath in the end and all the quests that were available in the game were accomplished. Think about it, if he didn't do those quests and that was canon, that would have made adding those things in the game pointless.

herma mora i'd assume, i doubt you'd have much say in it as he'd tenticle grab you into his realm and just not let you leave. he has eternity to break your will. Kind of a depressing future. Hope a new dlc give the dragonborn a brighter one

None of the Prince's will get Sorin Markov's soul.

Regardless of how many Princes he becomes "Champion" of, Sithis will always have first claim over his Soul.

All hail the Dread Father!

I cannot help but notice you and I have similar characters, short of the fact that mine hunts vampires. Good name choice.

As far as canon goes, I think it's too early to really be certain. The other remaining expansion(s) could change a whole lot, either adding or taking away. Nobody really knows just yet.

If we were basing it solely off of what has transpired so far, I would say Either HM or none at all. All the other branches of quests can't really be taken as canon, because we can't very well assume that Dovahkiin is the Arch-Mage, The Listener, The leader of the Thieves' Guild, The Harbinger of the Companions, etc etc. A lot of those factions just don't really mix all that well, logically speaking. Granted I suppose it is possible that the Dovahkiin is just an Ace of all trades, but it seems very unlikely for that to be canon.

Also, I find it funny how people continue to reference Tsun's tiny piece of dialogue as the end-all debate winner on who's soul Dragonborn goes to if he/she was in any of those factions.
He only says it if you bring it up. My Dragonborn had completed all the factions, I told him by right of the Dragonborn, and he made no argument against it. He doesn't even mention Hircine at all, either. The companions' dialogue option is completely werewolf irrelevant. So you folks can stop using the word of Tsun in your debates, lest you'd like to quote him directly and look the part of the fool for taking what he says out of context.

Didn't the Oblivion protagonist ended up becoming a Jack of All Trade type guy, to keep everyone's game canon? I see no reason why it's not "likely" that the Dragonborn would become a jack of all trades. If the Champion of Cyrodiil can do it, the Dragonborn surely can.

Okay, lets look at the exact quote then:

Dovahkiin: "By right of plunder. I am a Nightingale of Nocturnal.

Tsun: "Do not mistake the night-shrouded thief's stealthily-taken spoils, stolen and unearned, for a warrior's plunder, won in honorable battle. Your doom already binds you to your dark mistress, but your errand I will not hinder, if my wrath you can withstand."

It is correct that you are asked, and you are given the choice of reply, but the fact is that what Tsun says confirms if you indeed become a Nightingale you are Nocturnal's. Period. Of all other dialogue choices, he never says you are bound in death to anyone else.

Based on the game and canon, absolutely. It is ridiculous to say that only particular quests were chosen as canon for the Champion of Cyrodil. What makes him the Champion of all Cyrodil, is that he accomplished ALL the tasks available to him. Otherwise, what kind of lame run-thru canon character are we talking about if all the quests were not completed, and that would be lore...? Pffff.

That isn't true, he initiates the dialogue because you approach the bridge to gain entrance to the Hall. He presents you with the question of by what right of claim you are worthy to enter. We are talking about Tsun who I'm pretty sure knows way more about who goes where in relation to Sovengarde and beyond.

Shor will claim the Dovahkiin, and he will reside in Sovengarde.
HM would have the biggest claim on him, though no one can stop the power of an Aedra.

Lore wise, The DB didnt work with the thieves guild, Receive Molag Bal's gift, Nor become a werewolf. That was a different adventurer.

Well if we can choose our fate, I'd want my soul to be ripped apart as the Daedra fought an endless war over me. Jokes on them. They'll end up recruiting a new player character in elder scrolls 6 to stop the war and reward him in riches and Daedric artifacts, specifically Goldbrand.

The COC wasn't canonically the grandmaster of the guilds. Yours can be if you want him/her to.

lore wise...i'd imagine the db does every available quest, and since both dawngaurd questlines have the option of becoming a vamp lord...well good posiblility the "cannon dragonborn" is a monster. Also he had to do the companions questline so at one point was a werewolf.

its fine if your "headcannon" is different, but i'd imagine the generic db is a powerhungry ass hole, just based on whats in the game

That's your opinion. There's no official lore on Skyrim events yet, since we won't get that until the next game.
If we can use Oblivion as any sort of comparison, it's likely that the Dragonborn of lore in the future games will have done EVERYTHING they possibly can. Maybe even small little things that seemed to mean nothing, will have a small easter egg in the future games.
Right now, we have nothing but speculation. So you shouldn't use absolutes like "Lore wise, the DB didn't..". It should be "I think, lore wise, the DB didn't.."
