Which daedric princes are the strongest and weakest?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 1:09 pm

To make this easier, lets list them in groups of four, here is my list. Not counting Jyggalag

Most powerful ones
1. Boethiah
2. Hermaeus Mora
3. Mehrunes Dagon
4. Vaermina

The second most powerful ones
1. Sheogorath
2. Molag Bal
3. Azura
4. Mephala

The third strongest ones
1. Peryite
2. Malacath
3. Hircine
4. Meridia

The weakest ones
1. Namira
2. Nocturnal
3. Sanguine
4. Clavicus Vile

Are they in the right order?

Sanguie has literally hundred of daedric realms, how is he weak?

I'm pretty sure Peryite is the weakest (it is stated in-game several times) and I'm positive Hircine and Meridia are far more powerful

I think Clavvy it way more powerful, personally, what with the Infernal City and all.

Peryite is the weakest, though not insignificant. Why put Vaermina at the top but Namira at the bottom? Seems inconsistent. Mehrunes might deserve number one placement; he's certainly one of the most important if not the strongest.
Clavicus probably deserves a higher ranking. He's pretty significant, judging by his affairs with mundus.
Hircine and Meridia should surely be higher.

What is "strength"? What ways do we really have of measuring? Why does it matter?

"Nocturnal is accorded the title Ur-dra by nearly all the Royalty of Oblivion. As the mother of night, she claims to be an aspect of the original Void itself, and it is generally deemed best to fortify this declaration in one's evening prayers."

Yea, I sincerely doubt Nocturnal is anywhere near the bottom.

Really the only things we can say in regards to "daedric power" is that Nocturnal is near the top, that Peryite is near the bottom, and that Jyggalag was once at the very top.

The rest is just arbitrary. Is destruction more powerful than conspiracy? Are nightmares more powerful than lust? Is [censored]* more powerful than madness, or the twilight more powerful than the hunt? These things can't be quantified, therefore the discussion is simply one which cannot be had.

*Seriously, that's censored? I'm refering to Molag Bal's sphere.

Boethiah probably has the biggest deed to hirs name, but she's the prince of secret murder. She couldn't have taken Trinimac on head-to-head.

Am I the only one that considers the possibility that Azura could be "strongest?" Residing over fate, and such..

Where is she mentioned as being related to fate? Herma Mora's sphere deals with the "scrying of the tides of fate."

Isn't Jyggalag supposed to be at the very top? I thought he returned after Shivering Isle quest.

That whole "fate moving beyond the Twilight" thing. So maybe a small portion of "fate?"

Not counting Jyggalag

Also, I think we're left to assume that Jyggalag is back in his Sheo-cage by now.
