Which Dark Brothehood Was Darker?(No spoilers)

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:57 am

In my view...Skyrim, Morrowind had barley any Db action, Oblvion was a bunch of wacky Loonies worshiping some Wacky cult god thing.....Skyrim's was overwhealmingly Dark...Espically that Creepy Vampire girl...It was actually more of the atmosphere that got me...Its was just so Dark...No hope, Just the endless void and death.

Oblivion's.

1) Running around murdering people in the name of your unholy dread-father and svckling malice and pain from the teet of The Night Mother is hardly "emo".

2) I don't like your grammar. :P

Skyrim for sure... Oblivion's was really stupid to be honest... hated DB in Obliv... only used it to steal those awesome arrows from the living quarters... Morrowind didn't really have much... Skyrim's was SICK... I honestly felt like I was more evil doing the Thieve's Guild quest line at the beginning because I wasn't killing people, I was destroying their lives pretty much... but DB quests were very enjoyable and quite evil... the beginning of it was the darkest part to be honest... but no spoilers...

What's up with the younger generations calling everything emo?

Would you prefer it if I called you kids instead of younger generations?

It's condescending dude, stop it.

skyrim is the darkest by far especially with that mad jester Cicero. and to add a little cherry on top they actually seem more like assassins as opposed to cyrodils emo cultists with knives.

I thought Skyrim's DB was horrible. The plot was terrible, and the characters were either boring/unmemorable (Astrid), or annoying (Cicero). Oblivion's Vicente Valtieri and Lucien Lachance were much more interesting, and there was a sense of progression and climix to the story (when you realize you've been murdering the black hand.)

Skyrim's DB..

Spoiler
..was short, and felt thrown-in. You join, and the next thing you know, you're the listener and you're murdering the emperor. Nothing interesting, or mysterious happens in-between.

Skyrim's was darker, but I preferred the inventiveness of the quests in Oblivion. There didn't really seem to be the same flair in Skyrim. The DB was one of the things I was most looking forward to in Skyrim, and I was a little disappointed. No loosening moose heads onto marks, sneaking back through the dungeons you started from to kill the elf who started the game off by taunting you, and worst of all no taking out of a housefull of people one by one and plotting to get them into a suspicious frenzy against one another. Obviously I didn't expect Skyrim to replicate each quest, but a questline just as inventive as Oblivion's would have been nice.

The great thing about a game like Skyrim, though, is that there's plenty more content to soak up the minor disappointments.

Skyrim's DB questline seriously screwed with my head, Oblivions was quite predictable and Morrowinds was meh,

But damn what a mindf*ck in Skyrim...

You ninja'd me!

But I do agree. I certainly didn't connect with any Skyrim member like I did with Lucien and Vicente. I remember feeling rather shocked when I was first ordered to purify the Sanctuary.

I voted Oblivion simply because the quest line felt more involving and because of Lucien Lechance. He just made the DB the DB.

Skyrim hands down.

I'm thoroughly creeped out every time I enter the sanctuary and hear the moaning coming from the torture chamber...

I enjoyed Oblivion's DB a lot more though. A lot more memorable characters and far more interesting quests.
