Which DLC after Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles?

Post » Mon Sep 19, 2011 4:34 pm

I've now finished both of them, and have all achievements, not just Shivering Isles but Oblivion completely. Which of the other DLC is really worth my money? The Vile lair, wizard's tower, etc.

The other DLCs are not as large as either Shivering Isles (an expansion) or Knights of the Night.

The main other mods are "house" mods with no substantial quest. Which one, of course depends on your character(s). Pretty straightforward: Wizards Tower (Frostcrag) for mages; Vile Lair for Vampires and/or evil characters; Fighter's Stronghold (Battlehorn) for warriors; Thieves Den for thieves.

I really like Wizards Tower and Vile Lair. But again no big quest associated with them, so if you're expecting another KotN you may be disappointed.

Spell Tomes just adds books to loot. When you read them you learn the spell.

Horse Armor and Orrey are lousy in my opinion.

If you're looking for another questline, and are on a PC, I recommend mods vs additional DLCs.

Depends on which type of character you play --- each DLC provides a base for the various specialties (ie. Stronghold is for knights, Thieves Den for thieves, Wizard's Tower for mages, Vile Lair for vampires, etc.) - so which is best depends on your character and play style.

You forgot Mehrune's Razor which was pretty fun if you ask me, also I like the Morag Tong armour you can get from it.

You are right!! While I was typing that I was thinking that I missed one, I should have checked.

Yes, for the OP if you wanted another DLC with something resembling a quest I recommend Mehurnes Razor.

Really Mehrunes Razor is just one really big dungeon crawl. It's not really a questline it's just a big huge dungeon with a substantial backstory.
