I LOVE that Skyrim's theme also has lyrics. It tells of a legend you don't realize you are about to fulfill by a people who don't realize yet they need you. http://www.lyrics85.com/BETHESDA-THE-ELDER-SCROLLS-V-SKYRIM-THEME-LYRICS/334267/
But, Morrowind's theme is so... innocent, yet adventurous. It feels like my adventures in the game are perfectly summed up by that game. It starts slow and nice, with a small forewarning of darkness (drums) in the background. Slowly it gets more assertive and the nice-ness disappears (what sounds like a xylophone is replaced by strings). The sounding of the trumpets and bringing in of the other instruments altogether announce my presence as Neverarine, then disappear as quickly as I did after the battle with Dagoth Ur.
I have to tie these two themes. I can't pick one.
Oblivion was great on its own, but it sounded like the song that should play during the intro to a movie. It was great, but for me it didn't tell a story.
