So which faction is considered to be the 'Bad Guy'?

Post » Wed Mar 19, 2014 8:27 pm

While I would like to see the Falmer coming back, I don't want them to slaughter the Nord. Anyway, the next TES won't be in Skyrim (I hope), so I really doubt that we will ever see the Snow Elves again.

Still, there is something about a whole race/culture being dead that bothers me. That's not only with the Falmer btw.

Doesn't matter. I hope that the new TES is in the Dominion (Summerset Isles plus Valenwood, because I think that both territories are not big enough to be featured alone in a modern TES game). If it is about going after the Thalmor, even better. They had their fun already with the elven supremacy thing, enough is enough. And don't get me started on all the Altmer that they killed. Bastards.

Aldmeri Dominion is the most bad guy but i would call them girl instead since their leader is girl.

But if you ask the most badass one , that would be the ebonheart

aldemeri are the burning brand of civilization and enlightenment upon the world.

all of the other races are veritable scum. uncivilized, uneducated, drug addicts, barbarians, and rap artists.

it's a wonder the altmer haven't exterminated all of the rest already since they are so superior.

must be a lapse in judgement from their leaders.

there is no helping them. nords are the darkness, when shown light they scatter like cockroaches. the only way to solve the issue to be rid of them. strap them all to a big boat and send back to the hole which they came from, with any luck the boat will sink on its way there.

the territories are as big as they want them to be, since they are never to scale. I mean the land in arena/daggerfall(?) was the size of great britain, and it slowly got smaller.

honestly I hope they just do valenwood, make it really big so they can do things properly, like the migrating tree's. and huge tree cities.

Good and bad are relative, generally speaking. Each group has its virtues and vices. You just have to find which values you align yourself with most, or which vices you can't stand to bear. :P

Orcs are the only good guys. They are the Pariahs, the Corrupted ones... in almost every story of good vs evil, the evil is the greater power that has swept the lands, and only the good guys who have been held down, oppressed, and nearly wiped out, can take back the world/universe/country/etc... The only ones like that in TES games, are the Orcs.

Mmm...only ones? So the Khajiit and Argonians have never been held down, oppressed, or nearly wiped out? Slavery, racism, prejudice, etc. They're definitely on the receiving end of brutal punishment.

Not that I'm hating on the Orcs. I love Orcs, and one of my characters is/will be one. Just that they're not the only ones that have been through hell and back again.

EDIT: In fact, most of the human races have as well. If you look into the Ayleid oppression of the races of man...And then the races of man coming back to wipe out as many elves as they could...it's sort of a tug-of-war with all the races. Another edit to mention Snow Elves...A.K.A. Falmer.

That makes humans the most evil, since in TES they were always butchering others the most (Tiber and others), so I recommend them as villains of ESO. Since I find most IRL humans extremely arrogant, I always welcome everything that cuts them down to size and teaches some humility

Every race did something that we can see as "wrong". Even the Bosmer, even though they never started a war (but they are cannibals, which is a taboo for most of us).

The problem, to me, is when they are proud of the atrocities they committed.

As with the real world.

Truth and justice, matter of perspective...

They all have their reasons that are justified.

Basically the imperials allowing themselves to be under such control might make them the "evil" guys, but considering who's behind pulling the strings, I don't think a party of a few imperials saying they're upset would get their voices heard... well they would get heard.... screaming ...with their guts out for the public to see....

Maybe Altmer are not made evil within the lore in ESO but there will be many roleplayers playing their Altmer like it's the 3th era already

Perhaps not what you meant, but made me wonder

None I believe, all the alliances have their good and bad points. The 3 alliances fight for Cyrodiil's domination, but none is targetted as evil.

This is an easy question. It's obviously the factions you're not in.

Hmm, but the Thalmor are sort of army/police, present also in ESO, it makes no sense to go after them. I guess what they do is dependent on what 'faction' inside Dominion controls them, so if you want to end that 'elven supremacy', you have to target that faction inside Dominion.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but in ESO you have two opposing sides in Dominion, one is 'elven supremacist' and second (current queen) is open to cooperate with others. And they fight for influence inside Dominion, for example one took control over Thalmor Academy and is trying to sabotage cooperation with other races by treating Bosmer and Khajiit students like dirt. There is even quest that makes you fix it.

The problem with your assertion, is that all of those races have been at the bad end a few times, yes, but never more than a few hundred years... Orcs (since they became Orsimer) have been at the receiving end of bias, slavery, near-genocide, espionage and sabotage to purposefully keep them primitive, etc... all due to fear of them conquering the world (under the thought process of, "as long as we do this, they will never conquer the world" yeah, but have you ever given them the chance to prove you wrong? "No, if we gave them that chance, it would be our last, so we cannot afford to let them have a chance!" mentality)

M'aiq knows much...

Ebonhart will be because that was the theme in PvP that I saw Ebonhart for whatever reason seemed to dominate PvP and if they get a quick start like that how much wll it be extended as the 90 days go on? Now th different races with different allainces might change that somewhat but I still thik most camapigns are going to be dominated by Ebonhart Allaince.

AD think they are the master races, Earth-historically there was this certain group of Fascists that had similar beliefs.
