I vote Reach.

Also, I hardly ever get lag. As a matter of fact I actually get more lag in Black Ops.

I'm jealous. I would rather play Reach but online it lags SO freaking bad.

It kinda depends on what you're looking for. I've always enjoyed the more realistic setting of the CoD games more than Halo. That being said, I feel like I run into more 9 year old roid ragers when I'm playing CoD so there's pros and cons to both.

Reach,BLOPS is fairly broken with the shear amount of lag, plus all the cheap things people do are anoying.

Black Ops is betterer. That's why more people are playing it.

I used to be a big Halo mutliplayer fan back in the Halo 2 and 3 days but I just can't really get into it anymore. I've got used to playing games like Battlefield and CoD in that time. I don't like how in Halo if you are confronted with multiple enemies at once you just can't do anything about it unless you have a power weapon, whereas in the likes of BC2 or Black Ops I can take on groups of enemies with confidence. I suppose my tastes have just changed, I used to enjoy how you had somewhat of a duel for every kill, but it annoys me now.

I'm still stumped by people complaining about massive amounts of lag in Black Ops. I find that it's much better in that regard than MW2 was. Maybe I'm just lucky. Speaking of lag issues, did they ever fix the ungodly lag in Reach Firefight online? I was really excited about playing it loads before the game came out and then when it did it was unplayable with firends, which was a huge disappointment.

Try preferring good connection in the matchmaking options. Otherwise make sure your NAT is open.

I by far prefer Reach, though I haven't played either in a while. First Person Shooters bore me a lot now.

Black Ops is betterer more popular and is played by children and advlts alike, whereas Halo seems to appeal to the older crowd. That's why more people are playing it.

Sadly, no. It seems to have toned down a lot and if you play with people fairly close to you it isn't an issue, but the lag is still there at times. The reason it lags so much is because FireFight is processed by their servers like Campaign, rather than like MatchMaking. Not sure if they really can fix it tbh.

By the way, on a completely different note, I have a friend on a game who's name is Melvar. It freaked me out when I saw your name. :P

I love reach,
but really dont seem to enjoy black ops.

It just got really boring really fast, i dont really see what makes this series so popular.

Also, My reach NEVER lags.

I find that Black Ops has more of an older crowd that Halo does. Halo has a younger base audience, at least that's what I find from my friends list and from games that I play online

I find the exact opposite.

Most of my friends that play Halo are older and more relaxed, whereas most of my friends that play Black Ops are younger and seek the testosterone-filled moments of Call of Duty. :P

Also the girls on my friends list seem to prefer Halo. Not sure where they fit in though.

And these findings aren't limited to my friends list alone! No sir! I have done what few have ever dared!!!! I... Left my Xbox Live party to listen in... Oh the horror... :cryvaultboy:

Anyway, I hear more young gamers playing Call of Duty than Halo. Now I'm NEVER going outside of an Xbox party again... EVER!!!

I'm a bit biased, seeing as I don't have a 360, but from my extensive play of Black Ops and my limited play of Reach, I would say Reach is better, as it is a bit more balanced and original. But honestly, I don't like either.

I very rarely use party chat and I have a much more pleasant time on Reach. CoD is just generally full of flamers and griefers. Scrubs on Reach, however, are (usually) civil and willing to do tactical shout outs when they know someone's listening, if not downright friendly.

In terms of gameplay I vastly prefer Reach to BlOps. I like the more team focused approach necessary to do above average in Reach. I like the fact that people lone wolfing will have a struggle for most kills and will usually get flat out steamrollered by a pair of decent players.

Graphically speaking Reach is much more colourful and stylized than BlOps (although it's hardly Fable 2 level) which I really like.

Reach wins all round really. The fact that any gun kills within two seconds on BlOps is frankly boring.

Although if you're willing to go retro, CoD4 is still the king of online shooters.

Halo is super fun with my friends. I always select good connection and my NAT is open. When I play swat it seems like it takes a good second to kill somebody after I shoot. Basically I shoot he starts running or moving and then he falls dead from my shot. When playing team slayer people use armor lock and it is so dumb and cheap. The worst part is they are standing and in armor lock and then they're out like magic and shooting me with a shotgun. It's not every game it's laggy but half of the games played my bar is orange and people are skipping across the map.

I bought Black ops last night off gamestop.com for $35 bucks using a promo so it should be here sometime next week. I need an online fps and Halo just wasn't cutting it...

Out of those two, Black Ops, I guess. I haven't played either, never will. CoD died after CoD4 anyway.
