I'd like to see the Morag Tong make a return for an alternative to joining the dark brotherhood. More honor in that guild

They are only allowed in Morrowind, where it is culturally acceptable to murder. They walk into a bar, murder, then walk out of the bar scot-free. I don't find that very exciting, especially when their questline in Morrowind mostly consisted of the player gathering a shopping list of clothing articles.

Having finished FO:NV a few times, I see now where competing/opposing factions would have added so much more to Oblivion. Imagine having the option to chose the Necromancers over the Mages, Blackwood over the Fighters, Mythic Dawn over the Emperor. And the Emperor was dead, why where some of the regional powers not trying to vie for the throne as well? There should have been a huge power struggle instead of just waiting for the Elder Council to work it out. This is the type of stuff I would love to see in the next game. Having a strong struggle between the three Imperial guilds and the native Skyrim operators wold add much more depth to the game.
Morrowind had this to an extent, but even then, it still could have played out stronger.

I would love to see real factioning as well. Be able to join the marauders or vampires, lead bandit raids on passing nobles. I want to play in the game, not against it.

Well, here's to hoping.

dark brotherhoods were retards in oblivion. there was no discreetnes at all, instead of subtlty they would be like FOR SITHIS, SITHIS SITHIS SITHIS, ALL HAIL ARE DREAD FATHER SITHIS. LETS KILL SOME PEOPLE FOR SITHIS. and lucien lachance's voice pretty much added the message "I AM AN EVIL MAN, AND A VERY NAUGHTY BOY."

i hope they clean up the brotherhood a bit, or make something else.

the brotherhood were alright in morrowind though, you would wake up and there would be a guy trying to stab you, but he never started screaming about a dread father

They're sanctioned by the empire, so they shouldn't be just centralized Morrowind.

I would like to see the Morag Tong vs the Dark Brotherhood.
A Camonna Tong type crime organization vs the Thieves Guild
Fighter's Guild vs some other mercenary organization
Mages Guild vs Necromancy Guild
Twin Lamps abolitionist type group vs Slaver organizations
Vampire Clans
Also the ability to join Nordic Clans like Morrowind's Great Houses

Plus if there was somehow an opportunity to create your own guild that would be awesome!

The Morag Tong, at least in the time period during TES III, was sanctioned by the Empire but only in Morrowind. Everywhere else they would have been outlaws just like the Dark Brotherhood. But, there is no reason that the laws can't have changed, and we could see the Morag Tong's activities spread from just Morrowind into Skyrim as well. I think it would make an excellent story line, Morag Tong vs Dark Brotherhood.

If I'm correct, Morrowind isn't the greatest place to live anymore. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Morog Tong elsewhere. Also, even if the laws haven't changed doesn't mean that people aren't willing to break them. There have been several cases where the Morog Tong has ventured over their homeland's borders.

Thanks AkaviriSoldier, I stand corrected. :foodndrink:

I like what The Gloomweaver said. Just because there stationed in Morrowind doesn't mean the can't travel outward. How do you think all of Remen's heirs died? Unless they all happened to be in Morrowind that day. :3

I think a MT vs DB story line would be great!

I really want to see them bring back the Imperial Legion.

Also I would like to see something like the East India Company. (I think that was the name) You built an entire town based around mining ebony. I thought that the city/town building was cool.

It was Morrowind's native crime syndicate, directly opposing the Thieves Guild for control over the black market.

Thanks for clearing that up, I completely forgot about them. Was that in vanilla Morrowind? I played the hell out of Morrowind but I have no recollection of a Thieve's Guild opponent. I'll have to see if I can find a copy of Morrowind somewhere or other one of these days.

Yes, it was vanilla, and there were a few quests linked to them if I'm not mistaken. I believe Orvas Dren was the head of the organization (the Duke's brother).

I'm thinking of a (semi-religious?) band of berserkers that hasn't an official status and is only noble when seen through the eyes of the actual members, misunderstood by other classes and those influenced by Imperial rule. Perhaps the last of a certain clan or caste or something like that. Something that feels native to the Nordic culture that's been destroyed and possibly even suppressed during Imperial rule and now these people regained the right to live their lives according to their own old ways, they've somehow lost their identity and they've difficulties accepting they can't bring the past, form an outcast class in their own society. Or this may be too deep...
Anyone care to say what they think about this?

I'm probably a bit boring, but in addition to the regular guilds we are used to, I would love some type of Merchantt's Guild or some Crafting guilds. That way you could work, earn rank, status and money, in a peaceful. As an alternative.

Well Dark Brotherhood should be here since it started in Skyrim. Morag Tong probably won't be since they are only legal in Morrowind.

The Mages Guild is no longer an official institution. It has been replaced by the College of Whispers and the Synod, both imperially sanctioned

I want to see both of these guilds instead of the mages guild.
