Which Gun(s) Needs Tweaking? For Variety and Balance sake.

Post » Tue May 26, 2009 1:23 pm

You can vote for up to 3 Guns.

I personally feel that:

1) Feline needs to be toned down a little bit(everyone is running around with this gun and its getting boring)

2) The Shotgun needs abit more range.

3) Grendel needs to be tweaked so that more players will use it; A very situational rifle which cause the Scar and Scarab to outshine it in most situation.

4) Secondary semi-auto pistols needs a buff or atleast increase the speed of which you pull-out the pistol.

Secondaries need a buff indeed. I should say that the shotguns need a buff too, but the L-TAG needs to have some adjustments. The grenades shouldn't just go poof and disappear at close-range. Also: L-TAG symbol in MP shows up as a barrel exploding.

K-Volt needs a buff in accuracy.

Why no semi-auto shotgun?
Why no slugs for shotgun?

The Jackal needs a damage or accuracy upgrade. I've had situations where I emptied my mag into someone just outside normal range and he lived long enough to kill me.

The Marshall needs a slightly faster pump, nothing more.

All of the secondaries apart from the Majestic need a slight damage buff and the Nova needs slightly more accuracy.

Oh, and the Grendel is perfect. Not useless at short while still being able to wreck at long.

Sorry sir but i have to disagree; the Feline, Scar and Scarab can out-gun you in both CQB and long range shooting seeing as how little recoil every gun is in that game.

increase the speed of which you pull-out the pistol.

You already pull your pistol out exceptional fast, if you could do it any quicker that would lead to inbalance issues.

Actually, I kinda agree with you that the secondaries do pull out fast enough; it's just needs a damage buff atleast for the semi-auto pistols.

Come on people, more votes and opinions so that we can have a better picture of which Gun(s) needs tweaking.

I find that the Nova pistol with Extended Magazines is great for just finishing off weakened enemies, at the end of the day your pistol should never be your first choice.

You switch to it if an enemy is weakened after a clip of ammo to finish the job quickly whilst they're reloading.

Actually, something that annoys me is that if you choose an under barrel attachment (eg extended mag) this prevents you from being able to switch the weapon to semi-auto. It makes no sense either.

Secondaries are fine as they are. Each serve their purpose and at close range all are deadly. I've tried them all, but in the end I prefer the Nova with extended mag

Thats the issue with the secondaries, currently I see that the Nova and the AY69 to be viable choice; the slower rate of fire pistols like the Hammer and Majestic are not as reliable.

Then again, it's not the secondaries that I have the most issue with. I more interested in the Feline being nerf a little bit as the damage and fire-rate are crazy in CQB to mid-range. IMO the Feline should be toned down a little so that its strong only in CQB but not so good from mid to long range gun fights.

The Feline is a powerful weapon, far better than the K-Volt from personal use... Though it is lackluster in long distance firefights, an AR will always take you down unless they're terribad.

I think the Problem with this game is that the recoil is very low which gives advantage to any guns that have high rare of fire.

The Mk.60 is way too underpowered and so is the Nova 12.

IMO, the MK.60 is fine at Mid to Long range gun fights but I do agree with ya to a certain extent as most of the maps are really small & with the cloak function forces you to enter into close quarter gun fights. Therefore the Feline (the most IMBA gun in the game) dominates.

yes to M12 - Hammer is just too much better in my experience.
def no to Mk.60 - it almost seems too good to me sometimes.

I'm certain that the K-Volt is easily one of the worst weapons in the game in comparison. That and the L-TAG. L-TAG needs to have some kind of proximity detection system. Say for instance, if it's close to the person, it'll burst in midair. Direct hits just aren't that feasible. That, or make sure it doesn't disappear. I've fired 4 grenades into someone and they didn't die, simply because it's easy to avoid.

IMO, K-Volt is alright though not as powerful as the Feline in terms of "raw damage". K-Volt has special properties where it removes the target's energy and disrupts your view which can really screws up your aim; even more if you have your nano-vision on. I think that K-volt would affect PC players more as we do not have aim-assist.

L-TAG is a situational heavy weapon, best used in game modes like crash-site.

Personally the gun which frustrates me the most is the Scar, it's so commonly used and excels in all situations.

Low recoil, large clip with extended mags and the stopping power that shows up most weapons.

Hammer is a little underpowered. It takes 4-5 shots to kill, and 2 in the head. Should be one in the head, and less to the body.

Amirite or amiwrong?

The SCAR especially needs to be nerfed a bit.
It has virtually no recoil, and everybody is just running around spraying and spamming, while getting random headshots!
You should really never be able to be accurate while spamming full auto! Make it more like counterstrike where you have to mostly shoot in burst in order to be effective, because right now people are just spraying with the scar and feline, even from long distances!

I vote for an increase in Recoil on the SCAR, SCARAB and FELINE.

Increase in Accuracy for MK NOVA and KVOLT

Increase in Damage for JACKAL and HAMMER.

K-Volt for sure, its too underpowered in the MP and you lose most battles unless you're chasing someone down XD

K-Volt has little damage, and little accuracy. Easily the weakest weapon, and it doesn't award assists! :*(

I've got 320 kills with the thing, and those were hard-earned, but it's trash!
