Which house has the fewest glitches and is the least likely to lose your things?

All of them are the same.

I personally would choose Breezehome. Small, and organizible.

From what I gather, only Hjerim in Windhelm has persistent bugs - mainly weapons falling through shelves in the bedroom. Any of the others should be fine.
... I'd stay away from Honeyside in Riften, though. That place has cursed mannequins! :ahhh:

All of them have moving mannequins and display plaques that eat your goods. I strongly recommend a save before mounting something you're really attached to on any plaque.

Simple solution: Hearthfire, children's room.

I wanted to keep the Rusted Mace once, so I placed it on a plaque in Vlindrel Hall and it worked!

Later I placed it somewhere in Breezehome, it eventually disappeared...oh well..
