Which Mods to Clean with Testool : III

Well I've resinstalled morrowind and I feel the urge to just select every esp and esm and just clean them all! :turtle:

However, it has come to my attention that some mods are not supposed to be cleaned in order for them to work properly, though I have never experienced any problems with it in the past. A good question to ask I suppose is, is it a good idea to clean the official patch project ESM? No GMSTs are found but several hundred objects are. I assume that this simply reduces it's effectiveness as a patch, but I am not sure. Is it generally safe to just clean everything, or not so much?

Plugin readme's will usually indicate when they don't need cleaning. The Morrowind Patch Project esms do not need cleaning.

FYI: a better cleaner is john.moonsugar's tes3cmd - you should check that out!

I'll second this...Tes3cmd is a much better cleaning tool. Unfortunately it doesn't have a GUI, it's cmd line only (but if you hold shift and right click on a folder, there is an option to open a command prompt at that folders location ...i.e. the datafiles folder where Tes3cmd should be).
