This also depends on what the forum is most used by ( pc, xbox 360 or ps3 owners) so these stats are very inaccurate. (also since only a few people will vote)

True but atleast I could get a rough idea as to the main system being used by forum members, I mean you guys are the only ones I will be talking about the game so I suppose its not a bad idea. Its an easy post you just have to vote not write anything below so im sure I will get a good few votes to see if a certain system rules.

PC.

Would never consider buying a game like this on a console, and especially not on the PS3(only next-gen console I have).

I'd have to recently have been mule-kicked in the head to buy anything other than the PC version.

So it seems most people on here use the pc version. Is that because of the mods that will come out?

I like the mods for sure, but the reason I got the PC CE is that I don't own a console and probably never will ( I svck donkey balls with a gamepad lol).

Games which have a lot of mod-activity are always best on PC because of the nearly-unlimited content and improvements that come from people all over the world. In fact I don't see why you'd buy it on any other platform. My fiance plays on the xbox, I haven't touched it, since i got it I think, might be because of that too...

PS3 CE.

So far I have only crashed 2 times, and seen minor glitches. FONV seems to be running very well on the PS3. I like to play on a console. PC version is good for when I have already finished everything there is to do and want some new stuff to add onto the game. I'll get the PC version for the mods (a few years down the road) when the game is on the sale bin.

i own both consoles and ive got a sweet gaming rig. gotta say both my consoles have been collecting dust for almost a year now...

pc games, while they not only have universally better graphics than their console counterparts, consistantly offer customization/personalization features which are completely unavailable on consoles.

as an avid FPS player, i think the lack of server browsing systems on console is intollerable.

PC of course. Partially, I chose PC because I don't have either console, but mostly because there's nothing a console version could offer me than the PC version can't offer more of/better.

360 here. I tend to have far too much going on on my computer screen with multitasking to do much computer-gaming. There are very few I would do it with. For games like this I actually prefer the 360.

Also, I actively dislike Steam. When I heard that FO: NV was going to require Steam, I made sure I got it on the 360. I've had Steam for close to a month now thanks to Civ V (No, i didn't check if it was going to use steam first, i didn't think I'd get that screwed over by a game series I've loved for over a decade).

Besides, as high-quality as my computer monitor is, I just enjoy having the FAR larger screen to play games like this on, and even on the hardest difficulty levels, the console-controller works fine for me. I don't need a keyboard-full of hotkeys to do well at the game.

While I realize I might miss-out on a few mods, I don't really think it's going to bother me, considering I didn't have them for ME 1, ME 2, for FO3.

And honestly, while I actually DO doing the completionist thing with achievements, I actually prefer the 360 variant compare to Steam's version.

PC, UK collector's edition (3216 / 3400)

PC...regular edition, since Bethesda did NOT and never will release an CE for the PC in the Netherlands / Belgium... :(

That svcks!!! I'm from The Netherlands and I was really http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1124654-fallout-new-vegas-collectors-edition-pc-in-europe/ about this too! So I went ahead and ordered mine from the UK on October 21 (one day before the official European release date) and received it this morning. Very glad I've done so, it was well worth the wait. Lovely packaging and extra's. And I don't mind the few days of waiting, seeing that the out-of-box game is apparently still in its pre-alpha stage, and after patching through Steam today I'd call it, like, beta 1.0, and that's still being really generous :-)

Xbox all the way.. not only do i NOT have to upgrade my system/pour hundreds of dollars into a system but i also get first crack at the dlc =)

As an above poster stated i use my computer for Running multiple apps browsing the web and work related tasks...Im on a computer all day at work its nice to kick back with a beer on the couch and veg out and play some vids...I used to play comp games but got sick of the technicality and constant configurations of playing certain games eg:you need such and such version of direct x to play..or the classic (there is not enough vespene gas to build this line ;) ).

PC Pros:

  • Mouse + keyboard
  • Automatic Patching
  • Modding

360 Pros:

It's fun?

PS3 Pros:

Again, it's fun?

PC here too. Because i'm best in FPS' with mouse and keyboard, the game will, and alredy has a hyperactive modding community, and the other option was PS3, which Bethesda seems to have trouble with.

Xbox. My friends all have the 360 so we talk about the game. Plus, i don't have a gaming PC so no point in trying to run it. I would like to play it on the PC but I can't seem to relax when I PC game.
