Which NPC did *you* kill...

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 12:39 am

I am sure we all know the feeling: Some NPC annoys you to no end, keeps harassing you or just looked at you funny. The question is, which NPC have you killed, just because you could get away with it? And has this affected your further gameplay in any way so far?

Since I started this thread, I will go first: After being insulted by Nazeem one time too many, I decided to put an arrow in his head. Doing this will probably give me a hard time later in the game, but knowing I will never have to hear him make snide remarks was worth it. And then there were those annoying little inhabitants of Dragonsreach. All it took were three arrows to shut them up forever... :whistling:

So, who had it coming in your game? Share your most brilliant and glorious assassinations :D

Ulfr the Blind, reason is he was useless at his job, and also I did it out of pity. he could have fell off the mountain on the way down, so I gave him a nice clean death.

LOL - thought i was the only one.. :jammasterjay:

My first kill was the stable guy at whiterun and his daughter ,,, it was by mere accident ... i was on the companions werewolf quest... and on my way back to whiterun...while in wolf form waiting to transform they spotted me outside the stables ...and then death ..." there are no more witnesses" message appeared... :celebration:

So yeah ... and the second was the random traveler on my way to Riften... nameless...guy but shame, he look so good and quiet with a decapitated head... :toughninja:

:obliviongate:

Does Lydia count? She was my favourite killing.

None, I'm a nice guy.

Every single High Elf in the game temps me to be a murderous lunatic though.

Paratus Decimus (appears in College of Winterhold questline). He was just way too annoying for me to handle. I haven't really randomly killed any other NPC's ever (in 76 hours of playtime).

essiential characters only which is awefull why bethesda why would you put essiental characters at militry camps then tell the player its open season on imperials only to have to arwload because its not open season because this [censored] refuses to die and they dont even yeild when you beat them down again and again, beth fix it so if u knock down an essiental they give up. there should not be easy situations to get into conflict with essientals, like the quest it maraketh, hmmm resist arrest it said in the dialougue box, ok, oh wait no i cant your essential and follow me round town even tho ive butchered all your followers and knocked you down a million times. wankenough...

I've Fus Ro Dahed my wife to death a few times in my house - I just always save it before so I can go back. Love the ragdoll physics.

I've killed the Warmaidens owner's wife in Whiterun (forget the name). She was the unfortunate victim of me vs a lot of guards one night. Now the guy who owns the shop always complains to me about how hard things are without her there. On the bright side, I never have to kick her off the grindstone, forge, or tanning rack when I need to use them.

When someone sends thugs after me for stealing from them, I make it a point to go back and kill them. Just killed Brina in Winterhold last night for doing that.

Lots of people. Mostly workers at remote mills or farms. Sometime entire villages, entering at night and taking house by house. When I get more skilled, probably some city guards for sport.

Good to see that my fellow adventurers feel no remorse about killing specific characters either :)

I almost forgot though: My first kill in Whiterun was the most logical one: Heimskr!
That old fool never woke up after I broke into his house around midnight and decided to end his confusing life :D

Without spoilers I can say I had to assassinate a person in an inn, and for whatever reason there must have been, some random beer drinker kept wandering in to the room where my target was eating. After 20 min of waiting I decided enough was enough and I slit the throat on my target. And surely Mr. annoying drunk person stumbles in right in the kill moment, but before he had time to utter a single word I turned around and stabbed him in the face.

Then closed the door to the room and walked out of the inn.

Came across a noble being escorted by a guard on the pass near Solitude. When I spoke with the noble, who quickly looked down at me from atop his horse, he told me to bugger off - not in those words but the meaning was implied - so I put an arrow through him, then killed his guard escort.

Did that not give you a bounty with Solitude or any other major city?

For me, it was Belethor. Playing as my no nonsense Orc, Uramulg the Bloody, slightly cliched I know, but I wanted him to have a scary name :D.

Anyway, for me, Belethor has always come across as quite creepy, he has a bit of a 'six offender' vibe about him. Maybe it the way his says "do come back", it creeps me out. So there I was, in his store, I think I was doing something else in my room, all I kept hearing was his phrases, so I thought, screw it, I'm gonna kill you. Went to the counter, "I'd sell my sister for the right price, HAHAAHAHA *power attack with my huge battle-axe descends on his head* AAARGHHH....". unfortunately for his assistant, who was the only witness, didn't realise he was there, it was much of the same, he never really stood a chance as I decapitated him.

It felt right for Uramulg though, as I had always intended him to be a remorseless killer, I felt no personal satisfaction whatsoever ;)

I did try to kill Esbern and Delphine when they kicked me outta the temple for not killing Parthy.

Didn't work tho D:

"Hey, the Dragonborn just saved our butts from the Thalmor, some crazy natives, and also on multiple other occasions, found us a new home, got us some brand new members for our organization, saved the world, BUT LET'S BE LITTLE BYATCHES ABOUT IT ANYWAY AND KICK HIM OUTTA THE TEMPLE"

Ingratitude at it's best.

Am I the only one that doesn't go around killing innocent people? I really have a hard time doing it. I killed people by mistake and I had to reload to clear my conscience.

Judging by the other posts though, it looks like not being a serial killer in this game means I have issues...

Well, the spoiled brats inside Dragonsreach had it coming to them. As to date, I never met more annoying children in any gameworld.

As for the advlt citizens of Skyrim... Some just had it coming.
