I like to save the best for last and many have said Zeta is the worst so I'm doing that now. Then I'll do Anchorage,Pitt ,Lookout and then Steel.

OA - level 15
Broken Steel - level 20-30
Point Lookout - level 25

MZ - never bought it!

I usually start with the Pitt, a little later is Operation Anchorage, then go Broken Steel, follow that up with Mothership Zeta to prepare for the tough enemies in Point Lookout.

I decided to do all the dlc's.. (except broken steel obviously) before even starting the main quest this time... I did go disarm the bomb in megaton right away so I could get the house to store gear.. and I went ahead and got all the starting quests.
Then I did Operation Anchorage.. (for the power armor perk.. not that I really ever wear power armor.. I just like to have the option right away if I so choose to.) And to grab all that good gear.
Then I did The Pitt.. Then I did Point Lookout... and then I did Mothership Zeta. I was at level 19 when done with all those. .. The guns on Mothership Zeta are fantastic for taking down those annoying overpowered creatures.
I then started doing side quests and hit level 30 before I even finished up the quest for Three Dog.

I like the PITT a lot, so I try to do it fairly early, but only after the waters of life when it makes some sense.

I used to do O:A first, but I feel like when I do I become way overpowered - mainly because a I leave with a few unbreakable weapons, so I save this one for pretty late in the game.

PL is amazing, but I generally wait till later on when I have done O:A and can sneak a bit better.

I am not a huge fan of MZ, sometimes I just won't do it.
