I'd love to be able to manage and harvest a garden of alchemy ingredients. Granted with the way time passes in TES it wouldn't be realistic, but then the speed at which alchemy plants regrow isn't realistic as is so that's fine by me.

I would like to see familiar plants from Morrowind and Cyrodil at the borders to those provinces.
I would also like to ironwood nut, because http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Special_Flora_of_Tamriel says Skyrim had that rare nut that could be found in Oblivion though there werent any ironwood trees. The Cyrodillans must import them so they are presumably useful and/ or tasty.

And lots of new plants :)

if you play on pc there were a few of oblivion mods that dealt gardening alchemy ingredients and even adjusted growth rates. if it's messed up in skyrim i'm sure mods will be produced that correct it there too.

Oh I don't mean I feel the growth rates should be slowed down. That would make gardening kind of difficult since time passes relatively slowly in relation to real life plant growth.

I didn't know about the gardening mods though. That sounds interesting. I do hope by default they include a feature like the mod that makes it visible that you've harvested stuff though.

The current vegetation is diverse enough for the given regions. While basing a game off reality isn't a wise idea, following logic is.

They already do, Aloe Vera and similar real life plants are already in-game.

We need plants that grow in northern cold climates. LIke Labrador tea or wild camomille tea, sweet peas, monkshood, Siberian daisies, lingonberries, blueberries, fireweed, devil's club, columbine, bluebells. Vegetables such as kohlrabi and giant cabages, broccoli. Trees such as white and black spruce, white paper birch, aspen/poplar and willow...maybe some cottenwood.

I guess I could name arctic plants all day long. I will spare you the boredom.

Well, your knowledge of plants excites me, rather than bores me ;]

But, a few of those are in OB, like the Columbine, and Monkshood. (maybe.)

I just want a wider variety, but more acclimated to Skyrim's cold feel. like i dont want to have a lack of plants because its 'too snowy' or something.

Posts deleted. Lay of references to real life plants that are illegal so far as this forum is concerned. Thanks.

The more the better imo.

A lil off topic. Went to a farm a couple days ago, and saw some plants I've never seen before. My first thought was, I need to harvest these... Then I snapped back into reality.

Even if it was just one, (id also be happy if they made it so you couldnt pick it up, just have it there) and have a guy live nearby that's name is Gorgon or something similar.

Is it just me, or does the environment in that scene look "off", or odd to anyone else? Something about it seems strange.

>_> Pretty sure it's nirnroot, though I guess we'll just have to see either 1. When bethesda gives their big reveal of nirnroot at E3... or 2. till 11.11.11 .... (Or if they announce it later in the year)

Wow, I love how we can talk about getting high on Skooma in here all day long, but mention a certain real green plant and it's a big no no. It's a double standard and once again makes me laugh at people trying to keep other people ignorant.

I asgree with you Bloody Relic,
But theres still the issue with it being against federal law. Even if it IS a natural amazing growing green plant, some poeple love bathing, in ignorance. Which is fine, you and i however, wont do that.
I live in a household with medical patients and we all are legal and have our cards,
so i am fully aware of the fact that its a harmless plant, i guess republicans rule this country.

Back on topic,
Cloud Funnel Cap.

Wormwood.

Motherwort

These should make a return :]
