Which plant species would you like to see in Skyrim?

Wow, I love how we can talk about getting high on Skooma in here all day long, but mention a certain real green plant and it's a big no no. It's a double standard and once again makes me laugh at people trying to keep other people ignorant.

Censorship is bad. Grow up America.

Reminds me of a Bill Hicks rant ( modified for the forum ). "The reason said plants are illegal, is because if you smoke a certain herb, you not longer want to go to work at the job you hate. You'd rather sit at home and learn to play the sitar." :celebration:

Only government sanctioned drugs are allowed. :whistling:

No one has mentioned them, so I will redress the balance. The plant species I want to see in Skyrim is the Snowdrop.

I voted yes to 1 & 2 but no to 3.

The reason is, you are in a new region, a region of snowy cold mountains. There are bound to be different species than Morrowwind and Oblivion.

Gardening I could care less for, if it was implemented I wouldn't use it. I say don't waste development time on that when you could use it for a deeper story related side quests, or character depth, or many other things.

True, but it would give us alchemist a sense of control on what you want to use for potions, or poisons.
Instead of having to find the plant nd wait for it to naturally grow.

Like nightshade for example,
If you grew that and harvested it for a poison substance, you could. if you wanted rare plants, whcih you could get if they implamented this, you could (like Mana Bloom both blue and red kinds) and you could make some sick things

Why would I say no to any of these? Even if I didn't want to play farmer it's not a bad thing to have the option there.

But seriously, I do not want the Devs wasting time on things that only a small portion of the players would truly use/do/enjoy/etc. Things like the three items listed here have always been added by player made mods so I don't think the Devs need to waste a whole lot of time on it.

So would I want them all ... sure.

Do I want the devs to spend time to do all of this ... instead of making a cool werewolve sidequest? No.

Five large cities, comparatively larger than those in Oblivion, are available to explore (and to be attacked from above by dragons), along with a wider variety of caves and subterranean areas. Fast-traveling to locations already discovered has returned. Cooking, farming, wood-cutting, and mining, in addition to weapon-smithing, can be done in different towns. Children are also featured in the game.

Farming is already included...
So i guess the question is how deep will it be implamented

See. It's already going to be an awesome game.

I can recall having some troubles getting some items for potions (in OB and MW), but it never really bothered me that much. I guess if I buy a house with a farm plot next to it then the question could be, will I be able to plant anything I want (where would I get seeds), or just keep growing what's already planted there (corn, pumkins, etc.)? Personally I always wanted to have a wine vineyard, so would I build one from scratch or just buy one and maintain it?

I think it would work similarly to how property worked in OB, you bought 'titles' or 'deeds' that permitted you to have like beds, containers, kitchen ect, but the same for wine vineyards, if you want a vineyard, you buy the deed for it and there it is when you go to your house. i could see this working for any other kind of plant you could want.

the trick could be to find the deed for the more rare plants like the Mana Bloom

If not in the actual game, id love to have this as a DLC where you can add a smithy to your house, as well as a farm (if your house doesnt already have one) and a place to cook.

i would also like to see house titles have property, and not just the house. Like have a cool cave on some houses that leads to a secret lair or something. Or a waterfall with a cave behind it. i could see many awesome house styles that could be beautiful senery wise.
