Which race needs a redesign now?

The face are great this time round. Oblivion had some problems (poor orks) and Morrowind... well Morrowind faces aren't missed.

What is needed is body type modification. The beast races should have beastier bodies, not a cool head and some fur/scales stuck on a generic human body. Bring back the Morrowind legs at least.

Height, weight ete, this is what CC needs next, not a redesign of faces that look great and are truly successful at creatiing variety and distinctiveness amongst the various races.

Pretty simple question. Which race needs a redesign? I think elven races look worse than ever before. They look like aliens with huge, jet black eyes and skinny face with a 10 feet chin. Bethesda really dropped the ball on them. Good thing is all other races look much better. I was a bit disappointed by the female Argonian looks though, they looked better in presets and previews.

Wait, what?

They are meant to look that way, it isn't a mistake, it is the art direction creating the characteristics of an ES race.

Now fantasy owes a lot to Tolkien and some others, and to DnD after if got inspired by Tolkien - but not every creator has to cut and copy that particular style. The Altmer, the Bosmer, the Dunmer - they are alien. They aren't meant to just be pointy eared humans. The Bretons - they are the result of Altmer breeding programs, if anything they should look a bit weirder. The Argonians and Khajit are beast races.

I'm probably overreacting but guaawrhgh to those suggestions that consists of:

"Why don't the elves look like they do in LOTRs? You should fix this mistake Bethesda" - answer, because this isn't LOTRs!

"Why don't the orks look more bestial/more WOW" - answer, because this isn't LOTRs or WOW!

"Why do Argonians and Khajit look so bestial?" - Oh come on! Because they are a beast race. If you want cat boys and girls there are no shortage of other games with them.

And on.

That rant aside - have you tried changing the face at character creation? You can really go someway towards making your Altmer just another human only one with golden skin if you want. I just hope Bethesda never says "ok, lets take these character designs and lore and run them through this brand spanking new Tolkeinator 1000 like those handful of people on the internet want.

I think all of the races are in a good place now, especially the Mer, who ought to look like a different species than Men. They also nailed Khajiits and Orcs this time. I'd say along with Altmer, these are the three that most improved from Oblivion.

I voted for all human-races (because they look too similar) + dunmer ( at least the female)

I think bretons should look Native American or something. It would make them seem more wise.

Breton maybe yes, too "common" and Nords, not that good looking without beard.
Elves on the other hand are beautifull and please, pretty please, do not under any circumstance touch their ears, i don't want to see those awfullly overly ridiculous long ears like in WoW or JRPGs, i find those just plain ugly.
