Which race will you choose to play?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:56 pm

Bearded Nord, not quite as tough looking as the trailerborn, but getting there. Or bearded and bedraggled Breton. Dunmer at a push. The beast races would have to be seriosuly better designed for me to feel credible playing them. Normally I like the fish out of water approach. (Imp/ Nord in Morrowind, Bosmer, Dunmer in Oblivion.)

Makes me glad TES isn′t multiplayer, the planet would be full of either "Rangers from the North," or lizard people who run like they′ve got bottom problems.

other than the duke, i've never seen a character so perfectly capture the essence of the phrase "come at me, bro".

I think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVAHVaqcpyc pulls off that sort of thing pretty admirably.

I always tend to start as an altmer mage merchant style character.

Then on second run I play a breton mage thief or a nord warrior

Third time I tend to play bosmer thief conjurer healer.

Also tend to play at least one nord warrior magic user.. most enchanting alchemy and conjuration restoration backed up with mace and armor.

I might make a nord thunder drummer swapping between lightnhing and 2 maces..

After that its mostly stuff like argonian mage thives khajiit thief healer or merchant thief bosmer pervert orc war alchemist enchanter dunmer war necro breton ranger mage bosmer kneecapper and so on.

Sir Ryland Pimpnasty, that slick bosmer, will be visiting Skyrim. He will be doing slave trading, dealing skooma or some other shady business. Backstabbing and sneaking to vaults (hope there are vaults) can not be avoided. Gotta love that insane bastard.

A wood elf. They have always been the characters I have liked the most so I think I go with bosmers :D
I will not do the main quest. I will steal and kill, so I dont really feel i have to be a nord to save Skyrim

A Bosmer Archer as my first character and maybe a fat dual Axe wielding Nord as a joke.

Breton all through Oblivion. Best racials by far (50% magic resist is unbeatable) and I liked their voices better than imperials in Oblivion. I spent almost 2 hours making a Breton look exactly like me in real life!

My first character was a Nord, and I did well until I became a vampire. So I'm gonna be a Nord and try and stay away from vampirism.

My first character will definitely be a Nord, to go alongside the whole theme and atmosphere of Skyrim. I'll probably do a classic warrior set up, maybe focus on sword and shield. After that I'll probably play an imperial thief or assassin, or a Breton mage.

judging by how classy the dude in the trailer is i'm pretty sure i'm just going to recreate him for my first run through.

http://i.min.us/ilG5YG.png it's such a manly look of confusion. "you serious, dog? this [censored] DRAGON thinks it can step to ME?" then he goes "[censored] YOU" and [censored] slaps the dragon.

other than the duke, i've never seen a character so perfectly capture the essence of the phrase "come at me, bro".

This.

I have also gone Dunmer in Morrowind, and Imperial in Oblivion. I'll keep the tradition alive by going Nord for the first playthrough in Skyrim.

I can't go wrong with my standard Breton Archer/Mage hybrid build. Although the whole 'assigning weapons/spells to each hand' thing worries me... Unless this allows me to combine spells with my bow/arrow attacks somehow.

Maybe I'll go Altmer Mage/Monk hybrid for the lulz later on as well. It was quite fun in Oblivion.

I think i'll be dunmer, but i might change my mind to Nord. I'm a stealthy character and i feel like Nords aren't really suited for stealth.

As a first character, I'm aiming Nord. Might as well fit my surroundings :)

As for a MAIN character, probably Dunmer, or possibly Khajiit if I go for a stealthier character
