I think Orcs should be able to survive Skyrim well enough. They're tough brutes, just like Nords. I think Imperials would have the hardest time coping with the climate in Skyrim, because they're a bunch of prisses, and would have trouble convincing the snow to be less cold. Argonians should be fine, they're a tough lot. I would have said that Bretons are too frail, but they have fire magic to keep them warm. I think if a Khajiit came straight out of Elsweyr, which is a desert, they would possibly have the hardest time of all, but at least the Khajiit are a tough lot that would be able to cope.

PS: In the poll you spelled Khajiit wrong. Also, under Imperials you put "Tamriel", which is the continent, instead of "Cyrodil", which is their country. Skyrim technically IS Tamriel :P

Argonians are obviously the least fit.

Khajiits are currently leading as most suited to survive? Elsweyr is a desert, the complete opposite of Skyrim. I don't think so.

I'd say Orcs are the most suited to survive, simply because I don't think they care one way or another what the weather is. Plus, out of all the races, they're probably the most similar to the Nords of Skyrim in their views and attitudes.

Argonians would probably be the worst off. I remember an Argonian in Oblivion specifically talking about not fairing well in the cold or something to that extent.

That's what I voted for too. According to lore, they live in the almost inhospitable Wrothgarian & Dragontail mountains of Hammerfell.

Bretons are most suited (Aside from Nords)... not because they're overpowered, but because Northern Daggerfall is similar in climate to Skyrim at least 25% of the year.

Argonians are obviously least adapted, being cold-blooded and all.

Argonians are the least suited, Redguards second least suited.
Cold blooded, for the first, insufficient vitamin d for the second.

Cat races have fur + can eat meat without cooking it ostensibly, so they should be the best survivors in a frozen wasteland.

As for Argonians... lol, they should make your heart stop beating 10s after stepping into the cold, because that's what would happen to cold blooded creatures.

Second least suited should be Redguards. Because black people don't like the cold. (Not racist, except for the part where it's totally racist)

Orcs would be the best suited, considering their home is about 3 times colder than Skyrim.

Argonians, because no, I've never seen a snow lizard.

Don't understand why Khajiits are being voted as the most suited, as said a few posts up, they live in a desert, wich results in their fur coats being pretty thin, they'd be as good off as an Imperial in a fur coat.

while i am no fan of bosmer..I dont think they are quite a "hippie" as folks on here make em out to be.people dont seem to understand that they are cannibals. That gets some "anti hippie" points in my book.

I guess the least suited to survive in skyrim...are obviously the Nords...since they seem to have gotten themselves into this whole civil war mess...the dragons arent their fault (guess).

Kill em all and give it to the scribs.

Orcs are probably the most suited, besides Nords, of course. They don't live in a warm or tropical environment like some of the other races, and they are short lived, strong, brutes.

Argonians are the least suited, I'd say. They are used to a tropical, swamp-like environment, and for some reason, I don't see that lizard skin doing them much good.

Orcs can live everywhere, and had to during the last...oh 4000 years! They also have land in the mountains of High Rock, not to mention some parts of High Rock are covered in snow. So, I'd say, outside of nords, the orsimer would be the best race to survive the harsh cold.

As for least, altmer or argonians. The altmer are overly sensitive to anything outside of comfort, and live in a [censored] tropical paradise called "Summerset Ilse." The argonians live in a warm, damp, disease and poison ridden swamp in the south east corner of Tamriel. They may do somewhat okay in the lowlands, but once they hit the snow covered areas, they'll be very unhappy. Just talk to basks-in-sun, in Bloodmoon. He could stand around, but was VERY miserable.

Also, just because Khajiit have fur, doesn't mean they're suited to live best in Skyrim. Plenty of animals hate cold, and the khajiit live in a desert in the south, and a bamboo forest to the north.

Yeah, more like because there is an instance of an argonian in a frigid area, and being very miserable. Plus, tree-lizard-people who live in a hot, and damp swamp won't like the dryish and cold climate of Skyrim

Orcs are built similarly to Nords, are physically tough, and their homeland has weather that would be similar to Skyrim during much of the year. They'd stand a great chance.

Argonians would have the toughest I think...being cold-blooded and all. Those cat-folk and the stuck of altmer would have tough times as well. Altmer are overly sensitve to pretty much everything...plus they're pansies. Khajiit live in a desert...

Being cold-blooded is more of an unknown atm with argonians. They were created by [censored] trees. They could be partially cold blooded. As been seen, there are argonians that do live in cold climate, like Basks-In-Sun (though miserable) and Right-Wind (Bruma FG chapter master, and happy with fur boots).

Best suited? Orcs, those bastards can survive anywhere.

Worst? Argonians, playing as one in Skyrim should be really fun. http://www.local10.com/news/22152242/detail.html

You know there are argonians that do live in cold climate, though they seem to really hate it without fur boots to keep their feet warm.

This is true. But I prefer to think of them as cold-blooded. Mainly because it amuses me ot think of an Argonian walking out into the snow, getting 50 yards, then falling over because he's too cold.
