Which Race You Will Choose!?

I'm most connected with argonians, probably mostly due to their looks, but their racials are not bad either... and their swamp land is a place I'd die to see in a next Tes.

As a youngster, when I picked up Morrowind I randomly without any forethought whatsoever picked a Nord, painted him pretty with a few facial tattoos and was on my way. As I got older I picked up Oblivion and played it for many happy years, as many different races I simply created a character to suit a need I had at the time, It was after a few years of constant tedium and side questing I finally tackled the main quest (No, no you heard right it took me about two years for me to finally decide to sit down and tackle the main quest...my ES experiences are weird ones and often including a sudden urge to nerd it up for several weeks level a character to about thirty and not touch the game for a few months) So with that I finally said to myself "HEY man up and do this Sh----nanagans" And I did, WITH A MOTHA ******* NORD. I fell in love with the culture, race, and social persona they had about them. And I created a whole world, back story and social quarks around him.....gave his family name meaning and his life purpose. It is with all this said I proudly proclaim to all the wonderful people in this beautiful community that shall be playing a Nord in Skyrim.

I think there will be a beast race for me, maybe Khajiit, maybe Argonian it depends on how interesting their new looks are.

I don't understand the boom with the nords, yes it's Skyrim.. So why should you play as the most numerous race right away? I never ever played as a Dark Elf in MW, or an Imperial in OB and I'm probably not going to play as a nord in Skyrim either. Once an argonian, always an argonian.

I wanna see ur face when they make ES in black march HAHHHH :teehee:

Nord. After several generations of pureblood Bretons, a young Voyen male ended up with a Nord woman and well, Solfirn was born.

After Skyrim was announced I made my first Nord character in Oblivion. Well, the first one I stuck with at least. I found that they are pretty good...

Probably Breton. They're a good all around race, and I think I'd be one in real life.

Leaning towards Nord on my first run through, if only because it is Skyrim after all :P
A bit torn between Nord, Imperial, Redguard, or Dark Elf. I plan to play a sword and board character first so it will most likely come down to passive abilities.

I only play as Redguards and Brentons. Redguards for a warrior type character, and Brentons for a battle mage type character. I use stealth with both, so I'm either a stealthy warrior, or a stealthy mage. I'll have to decide what kind of play style I'm going to try first before I pick my first race.

A Dunmer refugee who is fleeing the death and destruction that has all but ended Dunmeri civilization...
Who knows, he might even become a Saint of his Reestablished Temple (Not Tribunal worship, just the old ancestral worship).
Perhaps he'll even be what Veloth was to the Chimer...

Then I'll play a Nordic ranger...

Oh, and maybe a Khajiit after that.
Only if I can make him look like a snow leopard, though...

I hope they get the Altmer just right in this game. Tall, golden and beautiful. Seriously they were terribly portrayed in Oblivion, no wonder they're bottom of the poll at the moment

My first character in Skyrim will be Breton from the Aldmeri-Nedic Manmer source. Sharing racial links with the Mer and the Nedic (Nords).

Her background story starts circa 4E 184, approximately 16 years before the start of the game. She is a v?lva, a Norse shamaness in training, who seeks to learn many things, the least of which is the dragon's tongue.

As far back as she can remember, she heard their whispers in her dreams, but she knew not the meaning of the dragon's tongue. She was haunted by these dreams, and her need to learn of what the dragons spoke was burned into her very soul.

Woodelf, like others I love to sneak, snipe, and make music with dual wield dagger and shot sword. Although, Dunmar are on my mind right now, hmmmm

Dunmer baby! One of the last of a dying race. And I assume there will be some interesting hostilities going on between the nords and dark elfs so it should be a cool play through.

I really wanted to play as a breton first in skyrim, but Ive been playing morrowind again recently, im going to probably end up as the dunmer. Morrowind was the first game I ever played in TES series, and the Dunmer were my favorite race on that game. When I played oblivion I was really distracted by how different they looked and sounded, especially how ugly they were. Plus, I liked the raspy voices. :(

Redguard because I usually play as myself. Depending on the game I may change it up but doubt it.

I would say Dunmer born and bred, but I'll have to see the races in game before I decide. Hopefully more races will be more appealing this time around. ;)

Dunmer, I usually play a stealthy sword and magic character first, then I'll prob tank out with a nord and after that who knows.
