Which Race You Will Choose!?

Bretons normally. Though if they look good enough I might choose a Bosmer or Dunmer on my second go.

I've tried most races, but always seem to go back to human races. I usually, play as myself in the elder scrolls.I roleplay what i would do if i lived in a world like that.
I've played imperials, nords, and bretons. I prefer bretons because ( to me ) they are associated to the british, and the french also, they are a mix. So i usually go with them. I also like nords, but they were too tall for my liking. With the new custom body options,i will probably choose nord first "if i can change their height". I've always liked the look of darkelves, but never really stuck with it.

Anyway to sum it up: Breton and nord will be my choice for skyrim :)

*Edit* I voted breton.

I've always been big on argonians, bretons, and dark elves. Since I've played bretons and dark elves recently I may go with argonian but the other two are perfectly possible.

I'll more than likely go with a Breton! My favorite race over the years. :)

Bah, I don't know. I've got a feeling it'll be a Breton, Nord, or Imperial though. Probably Breton.

I'll know for sure when I'm actually at the character screen and ready to tweak for a couple hours.

My favorite races have always been Dunmer, Nord, and Bosmer. That said whether or not my first character is a Dunmer or not will likely depend on how they look in this game (Morrowind > Oblivion).

Breton. My favourite race. I always play as a mage but for some reason I've never cared for altmer that much.

Hm, I'm planning to play a stealth and guile character, and if i recall correctly, the Bretons Imperials (thanks to Frantic for correcting me) were the ones with a speech bonus werent they? But on the other hand i ALWAYS play these kind of characters in every ES game. So I've been contemplating playing as a Nord with as a berserker style fighter (think conan: No/little armour and high speed)

Dunmer. He shall be the brother to the madgod and the Nerevarine. All brothers. He's about 250. :P

Imperials had the speech bonus, bretons have a magicka bonus and a 50% resistance to it :)

Going on attributes i always disagreed with a breton say,was always slower less agile, than others. While it makes sense in some cases ,it doesn't in others. I mean not every breton wants to be a mage, and not every breton is going have the same speed or agility, same as other races.Thats one thing i didn't like about attributes, especially from the start. But we'll see where this new customization takes us....should be good :)

Wood Elf, since they are almost exactly like me. I'm short, agile and I love animals.

I don't understand the boom with the nords, yes it's Skyrim.. So why should you play as the most numerous race right away? I never ever played as a Dark Elf in MW, or an Imperial in OB and I'm probably not going to play as a nord in Skyrim either. Once an argonian, always an argonian.

Who'd want to play as a character that looks like a dude in a lizard suit? :whistling:

My first ever character in Oblivion (my first TES game) was a Nord because of their powerful warrior builds, but I've been a Dark Elf, a Breton and an Imperial as well, so I guess it depends on how good the descriptions of the races are :)

While high elf is always my first char.. a pure mage merchant character..

I always have a warrior mage merchant as my second character.. sword board restoration alteration and mecantile with armor of course and smithing and enchant...

Then I go for a rogue woodelf with conjuration and restoration as well as a bow and sneakyness.

The only races I dont tend to pick even after 20 replays are redguard and imperial.

Lets see I'll most likely chose a nord because its Skyrim and its just fitting for me.. and when I first played Morrowind the first race I picked was a dunmer and in Oblivion I was an Imperial. so deffinately I'll be a nord the first time I play Skyrim

Anyone who can afford a full suit for the show instead of just cheap B-movie quality pointy ears and makeup? :D

Seriously though, some of us want to experience other possibilities that we don't experience in real life. This is a fantasy world after all, and real life stuff can be boring. You've to be open-minded.
