After reading (some of) Wolf Queen, here's hoping Castle Solitude will be there somewhere and haunted of course.

Fall Forest! Sounds to me like this is what we can expect from it:
http://staurvik.net/wp-content/gallery/hd/fall-forest-1.jpg

I hope at least :)

that looks so much like the http://download3.zenimax.com/akqacms/files/tes/screenshots/ForestHunt_wLegal.jpg it's ridiculous.

i've always had a soft spot for upstate New York in the fall, so i'm totally psyched for the Rift.

I think this would be pretty much what the Fall Forest region looks like on an overcast day: http://1001arabian.net/tourist/bigimages/Aspen%20Forest%20in%20Early%20Fall,%20Ohio%20Pass,%20Gunnison%20National%20Forest,%20Colorado.jpg

... which is awesome :D

In continuation from my other post, I'm going to go to the icy seas in the north and harvest some blubber from angry walruses! And maybe even take some walrus tusks and use them to carve and fashion awesome daggers for dual-wielding!

Oh, the possibilities....

If you look closely on that map you can see inscribed in red the words "EMPIRE" next to Solitude and "REBELS" next to Windhelm. I guess we now know who's on which side!

What map are you talking about? Can you link me please?

I thought Tundra was a part of the environment?

Tundra is the definition of an environment with certain weather etc. At a Tundra, there is not much life at all. No trees, nothing. Snow as far as the eye can see, only small bushes live there. If there is a real Tundra if Skyrim, it can't be too big for there is nothing there :) But if they add in fantasy creatures and plants living there, it could very much be a great place to explore.

Maybe the part in the trailer with the player fighting those ice wraiths is a tundra area? There was a pic of that scene in the GI article too.

I'm most excited about the fall forest, it looks absolutely gorgeous!

But I'm far more curious about the volcanic tundra... Is it a field of dried lava? A tundra with geysers activated by subterranean volcanic activity? Or something else? Also if there is volcanic activity, could there be a volcano?

Well, we've got http://www.elderscrolls.com/skyrim/media/conceptart/whiterun/ concept art for Whiterun, which looks pretty tundra-ish.
