I need to reload this now as I reformatted my PC last year.
But Last time I worked in Nifskope (2 years ago?) there was some issues with using the most recent REV and we had to use an old one. Is this still true?

I found version 2.0 alpha to be miles better than the older ones.

All NifScope versions have some issues, it depends on what you do with meshes.
mmmm... well I installd nifskope-1.1.3.36ebfdd-windows and it was a very easy install. The results of this version did what I needed (change the color of the bound weapons to green instead of blue). But yes, I am intrigued by jonwd7 "going rogue" and advancing this tool on his own.
However, after downloading "his" 2.0 alpha I am not sure how to install it and the read me had no install instructions.
Thanks for trying to help, would you be able to list the steps to install his Nifskope ?
I simply made a folder on the desktop and unzipped his file there. Then I start the included Nifskope.exe, minimize it to the taskbar and all nifs will open with the new version during the session.
