Which should I buy

Should I buy Fallout 3 or New Vegas. I've heard great things about both of them so I thought that you guys could tell me which one is better. Thanks!

if money is not an object then i would suggest buying fallout 3 right now since im assuming its dropped in price. then after you have completed that great game hopefully new vegas will have a patch or two under its belt and be less buggy. then you can enjoy that completely awesome game. i dont know if your a console gamer or pc gamer but they added several things from popular mods for Fallout 3 into New Vegas and it makes the game so much better. you can craft medical supplies, ammo, repair kits etc. scary monsters are now actually scary. weapon mods were added based on on of the most popular mods for fallout 3. and lots of other things.

BOTH ?!?

Seriously, if you HAVE to choosen, FO3 perhaps...

Well, not that I've had ANY problems with my game yet. I've got the FO:NV CE for PS3, but I've read that a lot of people complains, regardless on what platform...

So, maybe go for Fallout 3 GOTY edition first, if you can get it. It has all patches and fixes as far as I know, as well as all the DLC's.
While you play this, maybe all the problems people seem to have with NV gets fixed before you buy it...

Anyway, I think one should play FO 3 first, then NV, they're both good games and has provided me with endless hours, weeks, months even, of fun exploring. And I'm sure FO:NV will provide the same...

(Both on PC with tons of mods, and on PS3...)

EDIT; Squeekers1234 beat to it while I was typing, he he...

It's like a choice between GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City if you played those. They're both really similar, but different at the same time. New Vegas is a deeper RPG with more mechanics and consequences, but needs a bit more patch polish and Fallout 3 is simpler and patronising, but more instantly gratifying and easier to play as a shooter.

Both are very much worth the money..fallout 3 had HOURS of replay-ability. My advice would be...both

This sounds like solid reasoning to me and I concur. (Though I think you meant "if money is not an object issue then..."?)
