As for SCs kicking the Thalmor out, yes it's a great thing that they would do that. But there are a whole lot of other places where they need to be kicked out too. And a united Empire is the most viable option to do that. Question here is if you care more about Skyrim or other parts of Tamriel. SCs do a lot of good for Skyrim, no denying that, but if we want to take the fight to the Thalmor itself, we need mankind to stand under one banner to do that. And as I have said, after the Thalmor is gone I won't care whether or not Skyrim remains in the Empire, or if the Empire itself remains. I want Valenwood and Alinor liberated ASAP and that's all I care about.

The Dominion will most likely lose. This is a Bethesda series, and in Bethesda games the bad guys never win. I'd be seriously surprised if Beth took a 180 and had the Dominon win a second time, especially if the next TES will be set during the next war (likely).

Also, I'm totally sick of that DB argument. We don't know if Mede II has heirs or who will succeed him so it's a complete waste of time to discuss it. We know that the man will be gone but we know absolutely nothing about what comes after that. And of course it's no surprise that Stormcloak supporters would be quick to say that the Empire blows up after Mede II is gone, because that serves your personal goals. "I like the idea, then it must be true" argument. Maybe his death will hamper the Empire, maybe it serves it.
