Which skills do you legenderize without worry?

I don't know about you, but the game looses some of its fun for me when the main skills for my current build hit 100. The idea of topping out and not improving at all is a bit of a drag so I tend to legenderize the skills that hit 100 and keep things interesting.

However, it's less daunting to play without certain skills than others. For example, I'll roll over Smithing and Sneak without much of a second thought. They both rebuild relatively easily. If I perked Speech or Lockpicking, I'd roll those over too.

Some skills seem worth the risk - maybe the armor, block, and melee weapon skills? Archery, however, doesn't seem worth rebuilding given how long it takes to reach 100 (especially if you don't train).

However, essential mage skills (Alteration and Illusion in particular) seem like suicide to roll over. I don't think I've ever tried those. Maybe Destruction would be ok?

How do you players strategize this?

I legenderize none of them. And why should I? Most of them still benefit going past 100.

I don't want lip snyching dialog that looks like a cheap kung fu movie, so I am still playing the 1.8 patch. Even if I had the 1.9 patch, I doubt I would use the legendary skill thing. I would have a hard time working that into my roleplay. How do you explain why your master swordsman suddenly cannot swing a sword any better than a peasant farmer. Did your character suffer a stroke?

Yeah, this comes up a lot when discussing the legendary skill feature. You kind of have to turn a blind eye to the sudden drop in skill. I think the best post I saw was one in which it was suggested that you think of it this way: your PC is suddenly hit in the head with a rock and forgets a specific skill while, amazingly, becoming that much better with some other skills. The rock hits a *very specific* spot.
