Which Veronica's ending is better?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:39 am

I always thought convince Veronica to join FoA ( complete Eureka! and did not destroyed BoS ) is the best ending for her, since she can use her knowledge to help other.

But now I have doubt...perhaps convince her to stay is better?

First of all, If she stay, then the FoA in the outpost will not die :cryvaultboy:

And if she contribute a lot for the BoS, maybe she will eventually become the Elder.( I'm do not know about Fallout universe setting, is female allow to become Elder? )
If Hardin try to interfere, I will kill him :flamethrower:

After that, she might be able to change the BoS Mojave chapter in the same way as Elder Lyon did :celebration:

Then she will able to help more people compare to FoA.

...anyway, its too late for me now since I was completed all quest except Eureka! :sadvaultboy:

There is no really good ending for Veronica, sadly. The ending slides sound sad if the BoS is blown up, but if I make her leave the Bros and I blow it up, she technically is free from being hounded by the zealot brigade.

She won't be happy within the BoS. Even if you form an alliance between the BoS and the NCR, the BoS leadership will still not listen to reason. She's wasting her time there, and those Brotherhood losers are only slowing her down. Let her leave the BoS, then wipe them out. She'll feel sad for a time, because the people she knew wouldn't adjust to reality and are destroyed for it, but she'll get over it and be able to live a decent life by herself, with the Courier or with another FotA outpost.

Doesn't the BoS wipe out the old mormon fort if you let Veronica join the Followers?

No, she decides to join up at an outpost in a train yard just outside of New Vegas.

I would inclined her to stay as that wouldn't get the innocents killed and she couldn't utilize the 30% attack speed increase anyways.

Veronica is one of the characters who has no really good ending. On the other hand, I don;'t think she has any truly horrific ones either (like what happens to Arcade as Caesar's personal doctor).

Still on my first Playthrough, I've gone back and finshed stuff I didn't do before I beat the game. I tried to do the right thing for her in this playthrough and let her stay with the BOS. If she leaves the FOA get wiped out. That kinda blows.

Only one location gets wiped out, and it's a pretty remote one I have actually never visited aside from this particular quest.

Plus you get to shoot back at the rogue paladins, gaining (good) loot without loosing any reputation.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to say that I prefer her leaving the BoS, as it is clear that she'll otherwise
end up stirring troubles, and let her become a wandering scavenger. I put some extra effort having
NCR/BoS to sign up the truce.

I personally prefer the one where she and the Brotherhood die but that's just me .

I am not sure if that is a "bad" ending, after all, the Legion doesn't have any real physician.

Have you seen the Arcade endings when you hand him to Caesar to be his personal physician? Even Boone's worst endings seem like a lazy sunday afternoon compared to Arcade's.

While it is sad, still pretty good for a *CL* playrthrough.

Not so good for poor Arcade though xD

I usually kill all the Remnants including him anyway.

It's an interesting call.

Because, her staying with the Brotherhood of Steel when the Brotherhood of Steel goes militant is worse than being kicked out IMHO.

That says she's corrupted from her former self.

BTW - wouldn't an awesome patch be keeping Veronica if you chose the FOA ending and did the Brotherhood in but she stayed? That'd be a sort of good "salting the Earth" ending.

You can get her to stay with you if you get a decent reputation (at least Accepted, I think) with the Brotherhood before blowing them up. You'll then just get the "this is your last chance" spiel from her, then.

Really?

So if I'm a MEMBER of the Brotherhood of Steel and annihilate them? They'll stay?

Cool.

But yes, oddly I think the Followers ending is the best. Why?

Because that more or less presumes without the followers, Veronica spends the rest of her life hanging around as the Courier's Girl Friday.

Presumably living at the Lucky 38.

I love the BOS, but it's clear that Veronica will never be happy with them (she may be happier with the Eastern BOS though!). No, I get here to leave and join the followers. They need people like her. Even if the parting is horrible, in more ways than one.

There's a part of me that wants her to stay with the BoS because getting all those followers of the apocalypse killed really, really svcks (they are after all my favorite faction.) but she would be better suited with them. I think Mcnamara is simply doing what he thinks is right but is just a stubborn old man so there's really no head way to make with him no matter how Veronica makes her case.

If she stayed she would just wither away with the rest of them (a deserved fate for those bunch of troglodytes but I digress) at least with the followers she can actually lend a hand in the Mojave.

Far be it me to intrude but does Veronica actually ever join the Followers?

Spoiler
But when the BOS kill the Followers outpost, I got the impression Veronica realized the BOS would kill the Followers if she joined them. So she's stuck hanging around with the Courier.

That's actually the justification I use for ending the BoS. They're willing to commit cold-blooded murder to keep a defector from their cause from doing anything meaningful with their knowledge.

Veronica still tags along with me even after I blow up the BoS, if I do that.

But is it really the Brotherhood, or just the four fanatics you have to kill in any case?
