Which weapon do you consider "the best?"

As we all know, the "best" gun in New Vegas is subjective, depending highly on your character. However, if you build a character specifically for using a certain gun, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1ts_TVi-3w

Curious which gun or weapon, when put in the right hands, do you consider to be "the best?" This means Sprtel-Wood 9700 in the hands of someone with all the right perks, Medicine Stick in the hands of someone with maxed agility, Hand Loader and Cowboy (and probably Fast Shot), the Survivalist's Rifle used by someone with Grunt, Old Glory with Better Criticals, Lucky to be Alive, Super Slam and Slayer, the Q-35 Matter Modulator in the hands of someone with Plasma Spaz, Fast Shot, Better Criticals and Lucky to Be Alive, etc etc etc.

I personally, from first glance, still have to say the Medicine Stick, despite obvious advantages of some of the other guns listed. The Medicine Stick, to me, is the best all-around rifle, and by the end of the day, the all-around rifle is generally the most important factor in your character's survival.

Good ol' Fat Man with a multitude of tiny tot bomblets, it's nice being able to eviscerate an area the size of the strip with ease.

The Riot Shotgun with the Shotgun Surgeon and And Stay Back perks is my favourite. It's powerful, fires fast, has a high ammo capacity and constantly knocks enemies down.

The SPAS-12 pump-action shotgun i have a mod for, but it's stats are equal to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Dinner_Bell, so pretend i said that that one :hehe: With GRA's 12 gauge ammo expansion there's nothing that gun can't handle. Hell, you can almost snipe with slugs.

The Light Machine Gun. Powerful Damage and rapid fire. No matter your build, this weapon is a crowd pleaser :D

Best single weapon? Nothing explosive, can't use those indoors or with conpanions. The AMR has real appeal, especially with GRA, but it doesn't work that well at close quarters or with multiple weaker enemies. The unique guass rifle is even more powerful than the AMR, but you need to reload after avery shot and it can't be silenced. Shotguns don't have enought range, though And Stay Back! really helps. Personally, I just don't like plasma casters. LGM chews through ammo, but I guess some people don't have to worry about that. I found taking on deathclaws to be really hard with the medicine stick, but it is pretty effective against humans. I think melee or unarmed weapons might be the best bet. Oh, sure you have to get close, and taking on deathclaws seems impossible. But get Logan's loophole, use some turbo (med-x and physco if you want), nothing can beat you. Oh baby! and ballistic fist both play pretty simillar, but you can use the unarmed stuff you learned with the ballistic fist. So I vote the ballistic fist for the best weapon. It's a shotgun with unlimited ammo!
