Which wife is the best for Hearthfire DLC?

Post » Thu Jan 30, 2014 2:02 pm

Which wife is the best for hearthfire DLC? I was thinking about Aela the Huntress but I heard, that she will be annoying after moving to another place. Is it true?

Now I'm thinking about Lydia, but I'm not sure.

Pick a non-combat wife, that looks pretty and isn't annoying (unless ya do like me and rarely visit the homestead and use other houses mostly)

Jordis, Lydia, Ysolda and Senna are my absolute favorites. This list of course is not in any particular order.

Sylgja is the best wife. With her hot mom as steward. Indisputable fact.

Yeah, just pick your favorite. It takes all kinds in this world.

My characters have married Sylgja before. I dunno why, I just like her.

Here's your fishy stick! https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1485881-which-wife-is-the-best-for-hearthfire-dlc/s&source=web&cd=7&cad=rja&ved=0CDgQFjAG&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.uesp.net%2Fwiki%2FGeneral%3AFishy_Stick&ei=NRHpUqimH4vksATdroLYBg&usg=AFQjCNF52YCPsb-2B6Af5iB0E-B_Z4VGwA&bvm=bv.60157871,d.cWc

What do you mean best? There is no difference in who you marry besides them being a follower or not.

Well, they have slightly different dialogue depending on voice type. If you want a wife with an attitude, go for Senna. If you want a sweet, cuddly wife, go for Brelyna, Sylgja, Jordis or anyone else with the FemaleYoungEager voice type.

Which means it's a matter of personal taste and there is no best wife.

Yes, I freakin love Senna. She's not as big a "you know what" as Njada but she definately has some more personality.

Exactly. Or well, in my case, my character's taste. :)

Oh, ok. I might have something to say about it as well. :P

I view it in terms of what is the best female role model for my two daughters Sir.
In my case it' is a terrifying nordic killing machine not prone to self-reflection.
She bakes cakes too apparently and visits the market regularly according to Lucia.

Marriage mode is the same with every NPC. Worse of it, it strips whatever little personality the NPC has. Marriage mode officially turns them into robots. So pick whatever, it's all the same.
