Which is your favorite Daedric prince?

Post » Fri Oct 29, 2010 3:56 am

I just thought that this would be a fun thing to do :celebration:
Please don't just pick one, like Mehrunes Dagon because he's bad@$$ or Sheogorath because he's funny as hell. Vote for them because you are interested in them or what they represent. Do some research first:

Hircine. But I do find Sheogorath rather amusing.

I will go with Hircine. He just looks a hell of alot cooler then the other princes and he created the lycans.

Ah, it's been a long time since we had a pointless "popularity contest" thread in this forum. Oh, and Lorkhan, of course. :P

Hircine looks cool and talks cool for that matter(in Morrowind at least) but I don't think it's such a big deal that he created werestuff, in fact I find him below Sheogorath, Azura, Nocturnal and Mephala. Next time you want to create a pool and suggest people get informed - don't give them the link to the vote you think is best.

Depends on how you pronounce it. If you say "lycan" in the English way, you subtly imply that a werewolf is a symbiotic relationship between a fungus and a photosynthetic alga or cyanobacteria. Which, let's admit it, is awesome.

Yes, so lets say they've got a slightly more mottled fur. Bit white-greenish. Take that a few steps further, change the fur to hyphae filaments, growing on the person. Exposed to the light of the full moon, the rapid appearance will tear skin and clothes apart. Would do very well in the rain forest.

Just need a better word for lunar-synthesis.

edit:

Also card carrying member of Meridia, the Daedra of workaholics, fast music, superheated economies and other entities heading for a burnout.

Peryite. I like his voice and appearance and he actually wants you to save his worshipers. Plus he wishes to bring order into the mortal realm so that's a good idea. Other than that, Boethiah is much to my fancy, but only because I did a fan-fiction with him and gave him quite an interesting dialogue with one of my characters.

Sheog. For much more than's "he's funny." Perhaps moreso because of what he represents.

Personally, I like Sanguine. For OOO read up on the amazons. Learn about their ways and why they worship Sanguine. Definitely, the way to go out is to have a 5 way orgy with beautiful amazon women before they sacrifice you to Sanguine. Very erotic. I love it.

Yes, very nice. Sanguine surely keeps the good times rolling, and reminds me that I really could use a beer right now. Bonus points for his amusing quest in Oblivion.

I'd much rather get me some and live to tell, thankyou. I guess since I replied to a post I have to choose... Sheogorath. For my image of his Madness anyway, and fo his pimpn cane an lid.

If Herma Mora wore his hat and held his cane, and if his name were Jyggalag, he would be da boss pimp.

Vaermina by far. I always liked oneiromancer-type characters and she's a daedra who pesters people in their sleep, driving them into raving mad lunatics. Sure enough, Sheogorath could likely do that too, but he always seemed like silly and chaotic rather than really evil.

I choose Boethiah, for his sphere is deceit and conspiracy, and the secret plots of murder assassination and treason. I would like to think of myself as one who sews deceit (alas I am not, though).

Hircine. I like the idea of hunting, predator and prey, respect for the strongest. It really highlights moral ambiguity. Is the wolf evil for chasing down the hare? That's what it does, to eat, to survive.

I never really thought of Hircine as 'evil' in Bloodmoon. It's just what happens every era or so. It isn't good, it isn't evil, it just is what it is. I do wish Beth had done a little more with the werewolves, like make clans and such. There is a lot of potential to make were-life very unique and interesting to play and roleplay.

Indeed. Would be pretty interesting to see more were-lore, too. Let's put that in the suggestion box for Bethesda for TES V.

Meridia.

She turns people into muffins and hates the undead.

I've been exploring some of that potential in my current fan fiction: http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=909910.

All praise Lord Sheogorath!

It is he who makes one side of a dish cold and the other side hot when we use the microwave!
It is he who steals our socks from the dryer!
It is he who made the Alanis Morrisette song "Ironic", not ironic at all!
It is he who forms the words in our alphabet soup!

Praise be!
