Which is your favorite plot of land?

Post » Wed Nov 06, 2013 1:05 am

So I bought the plot of land on Falkreath and created my own house, with everything possible to add in it. I googled the other 2 plots of land you can buy and I think they both beat the one in Falkreath. I really liked the one in the Pale. It seemed to have much more space around the house. In Falkreath, there's trees and a stone hill beside the house :(

Which one's your favorite? Not including regular houses.

Lakeview Manor is probably the majority. Great hold, beautiful view, and an amazing lake as the sun goes down.

I only bothered getting Heljarchen Hall and I consider it my favorite. Very open, great view of Whiterun, and the snowy environment of the Pale. I only wish it were more in the Pale and less so on the borders near Whiterun, but it'll do.

I've only so far built a full house in Lakeview Manor as my main home and a small, basic house in Heljarchen Hall, just as a place for shelter when I'm in the area. I think in my current playthrough, I'll build a full house in Windstad. I like the marsh areas.

Lakeview is certainly a beatific place, I agree. Heljarchen Hall, though, is my personal favorite :)

Yeah, lakeview manor is also my favorite, but I do also like the other 2 almost as much.

I don't really care for any particular official player home or land.

As a player home - Ustengrav

Spot of land - The cliffs NE of Sundered Towers

I prefer larger and more open space around me. I think the house in the Pale will suit me well. I'll have to stick with Lakeview for a while until I have time to go buy that land.

Not for every playthrough, but it is for a good 75% of them, for sure.

My personal favourite is Lakeview Manor. Nice view and surroundings, and it's only a short walk to Falkreath and a quick horse ride to Whiterun.

Hjjargcjkargflen Hall in the Pale is my second-favourite. Right between Dawnstar, Whiterun and Windhelm. Perfect for a Stormcloak :D

What? Why would I do that?

Most of my characters don't even talk to the Graybeards. The first main room is all that matters. Unless you actually trigger the quest, the rest is sealed off.

No kidding.

All three have points I like: Lakeview is compact and has the beautiful view of the lake and the temperate weather, Heljarchen is more spread-out and has the nice snowy weather, Windstad has the always-useful fish hatchery and a bleak beauty, especially when the wind is blowing off the sea. I guess I'd have to rank them 1) Lakeview, 2) Windstad and 3) Heljarchen.

Pretty much. Not to mention it is also the most convenient of the three new houses.

I usually start a new character and limit him to one primary HF residence. I always ended up with Lakeview Manor. I now play with Helgen Reborn, Ebonvale, and Aurora Village mods so the Lakeview location is even more desirable.

Another reason besides location is I never liked the quests required for the other 2 plot of land.

I've had to look up that name soooooo many times... Heljarchen. Your naming reminded me of my own troubles with the name.

PS: No offense was meant :)

I actually like Windstad. It's marshy, but it has a kind of wild beauty to it. My Nord lives there, with her snarky husband and their adorable adopted daughter.

But I'm in the process of building at Lakeview, so we'll see if I decide I like it better.

There's supposed to be a necromancer there, but my (vampire) Khajiit doesn't really have a problem with that.

It would be servin manor if they would cut out the creepy dungeon music and put in some morrowindyish music.

I'd go with this for exactly the same reasons. Only thing I find irritating is that damn witch that keeps messing about at the bottom of the garden. What is her problem, I wasn't told about this issue when I purchased the plot!
