without having to physically move it ever time I started the game (in windowed mode obviously). I can't find the thread - it was apparently so long ago it's been purged from the database....

Anyway, I actually just today found a http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7347/? which accomplishes exactly what I was looking for back then. I installed it earlier, and it's really slick. So I'm posting about it here, because maybe someone else will want to know - before this forum goes away forever.

What it does: allows micromanagement of the position and size of your game client window on screen, with the rest of the screen filled by black. It works exactly as advertised, was super easy to set up, and I wish I'd had it from the first time I played the game at release.
