I keep getting some white rectangular flashes about mid-screen a little above center. I also got a white dot zip across the screen. I have changed my resolution to 1900x1200 and will see if they return. I have a Nvidia GTX 480 with max memory.

Yeah it's an odd one that because I very occasionally get that rectangle thing. It has happened a couple of times in New Vegas on this new PC, happened in FO3 on 2 older PCs (with different hardware in each of the 3 PCs), and has happened in Oblivion on all 3 different PCs on which I have played the game. Which leads me to suspect that it's a game engine thing and not due to any particular hardware or configuration! Not much help there I know, sorry...

Do you have the lates 260.99 drivers?

This sort off issue was known to happen with AA set to ON with HDR. The New 260.99 drivers fixes this for the most part.

In addition to the drivers, you may want to lower you AA to 2 while using HDR.
