Went through here tonite twice ,first time killed wolf. Found diary suggesting the wolf would make a good "pet".
Reloaded, went backthru to caged wolf , never had the spell calm, but I dropped meat (quite a bit), left alive in cage , went to end got diary and note abot other sword,
went back, to my surprise wolf was out of cage and made no moves towards me even face to face, But no options to say come with me.
Why th enote about the wolf that the headman wanted to keep .
So I guess the question is, can you get this animal or not.?

No you can't get it as a pet.

You can if your a Wood elf, but only for 60 seconds.

bummer, that's not fair , just not , the wolf never attacked my Breton, I think Lydia caused the upset,
and how did it get out of the locked cage ,everyone was dead. i left meat outside the cage
