Who do I alienate by siding with the Brotherhood of Steel?

Alright I just completed the brotherhood of steel quest chain. The Institute and the Railroad are no more as are Deacon and X6-88. Regrettable that I couldn't get them to my way of thinking but oh well price of doing business (and I maxed their affinity before they died so I still have their perks). Now I've gone back to my settlement and have discovered that, while he is glad to still give me missions, Preston Garvey will not travel with me anymore. Is there anything I could have done beforehand to prevent this alienation? If not I probably should have gotten his perk first and then contented myself with that. Anybody know how to keep Preston Garvey a buddy after the Brotherhood of Steel questline is over? I'm willing to go back to prior saves (though i hope not to go back too many saves). And who else is alienated by my decision to wipe out the institute and Railroad? I know Curie (who I have max affinity with) and MacCready (who I am admired with) will still travel with me.

Any help would be vastly appreciated.

Curie doesn't like it but she's ok......Preston don't care who you side with just about whether you give an evacuation message. Everyone except Deacon's lying behind and X6-88 is ok if you side with the BoS

Ok thanks. But is there any way to keep Preston as a traveling companion? Say if I max his affinity before wiping out the Institute? Also why WOULDN'T he want to travel with me? The Minutemen are chill with basically every faction. I DID sound the evac order (all those scientists for the Brotherhood to scoop up and synths for live fire exercises).

*but I think only Deacon if you tell Maxson about the bots Shaun sends you to capture at Bunkerhill. I'm not 100% on that.

He means you will have to kill Deacon if you tattle on the Battle of Bunker Hill to the Brotherhood but you won't have to kill him if you kept your mouth shut and still side with the BoS in the end game. But he's not 100% sure about that.

Also do you mean I alienate Danse if I side with the Brotherhood? The dude may have been excommunicated but I still thought he'd be chill about that.

Basically what my problem is is that everytime I go to Garvey after blowing up the institute he goes "General" and "May I help you sir?" but I don't get any options with him to do anything.

I had max affinity with Preston and got his perk before end game.....now he won't travel with me because he's super mad I didn't give the evacuation order but it's whatever.....I got his perk so now he can whine all he wants. I can take another companion to help haul the loot instead. Now doing Codsworth because I am hoping against hope he'll have another tape from Nora hidden somewhere or will tell me something I didn't know about her.

But isn't Deacon one of the targets for the "destroy the RR" quest for the BOS? Doesn't that mean you HAVE to kill him if you're going for the BOS ending?

How are you doing with Codsworth? I've gotten tons of "Codsworth loved that" but whenever I ask about our relationship he says "i'm not the man i used to be" or something like that. Also yes you have to kill Deacon. I sent him to Croup Manor but when I went into the Railroad HQ he magically appeared there ready to be killed.

No you have to kill them. Before I went back to a prior save and did it all over again I had gone all the way up the Brotherhood missions without making them aware that the RR was doing what it did and I still got the quest chain.
