A crock of [censored].

I believe that the Anticipations, if it was on even ground, could win against their own little mini-them. Mephala could out-trick Vivec, etc. Plus, that's all the Anticipations do. They wait and watch until the thieves who fancied themselves gods are weak then they send the nerevarine in blind to do their dirty work. Particularly Azura.

Vivec is not a mini-Mephala. And if the Anticipations really thought they could win, they'd have done it when the Tribunal first appeared, to avoid it from starting in the first place.

Hate to join a useless debate but heck, I'm human too..

Why should they bother if they can out-live them? I'm sure they're sure that the ALMSIVI is mortal...

By the way:

In the book, The Anticipation, it says the anticipations are weaker of power compared to the tribunal.

This sentence is incomplete.

"In the book, The Anticipation, written by a Dunmer member of the Tribunal Temple and published by the Tribunal Temple, it says that the anticipations are less deserving of worship than the Tribunal Temple gods."

Now that it is complete, you have the key to the mystery.

It should be noted however, that CHIM is not necessarily permanent, you can lose it... not that I'm saying that Vivec will...

I thought the Moth Preist failed to acheive CHIM and went poof. What's a Moth Priest doing with CHIM anyway? Those guys are useless!

The Zero Sum outcome (POOOOF!!) is what happens when you "Fail to hold that dawning of realization together", and you dissolve into a zero sum.

Vivec is currently holding that dawning together, and as such, has CHIM-- however, if he "loses" it, he will fail to hold that dawning together, his tower will crumble, and he will zero sum.

POOF!

Why is CHIM not permanent? It seems like it should be permanent, but as we only have one person to go by, we'll have to see.

But CHIM is kind of a knowledge, and if you achieve it, you would be constantly reminded. It seems something very hard to lose.

Those who can attain... chim, experience an ineffable sense of the godhead... As with most characters of that dangerous language, the sigil CHIM constantly distorts itself. Those scholars that can perceive its shape regard it as a Crowned Tower that threatens to break apart at the slightest break in concentration... It is a return to the first brush of Anu-Padomay, where stasis and change created possibility. Moreso, it the essence needed to hold that 'dawning' together without disaster.http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/vehk_teaching.shtml
First you've got to achieve it but then you've got to maintain it, which is slightly difficult as you're more or less coming upon the conclusion that you are not real. Realizing that you're not real and keeping that realization (by acknowledging "I") defies logic (if you're not real you should 'go poof', you shouldn't be there), so it's natural that keeping it would be difficult. You've got to keep concentration to avoid that disaster. Just knowledge isn't enough, the Daedra have the knowledge and don't have CHIM.

Thank you. I knew that there was a difference in knowing CHIM and obtaining it, and that the Daedra Lords knew about it but didn't have it.

I have to read Vehk's Teachings agains.

But why can't Daedra reach Zero-Sum? And what happens to the people that evaporate, and for that matter, how does organic matter evaporate anyway?

Anticipations, I think. Being that Tribunal are fake gods who can still be killed. Daedra are truly immortal and actually started that way.

It's not just organic matter, mind you, you've got the mind under there, that precious little Godhead fragment. When that fragment realizes it is logically zero, it becomes that. I don't know, maybe the body stays behind, it has nothing to do with the mind itself, right?
