Female going on 52. Hey, NOT OLD! Been playing the game off and on since it came out. Just started modding this year. Best game investment I ever made.

Agree!

i tried looking for that quote to make the "older" generation not feel awkward when th 3 5-9 years came, couldn't find it

supppose i should share my story *cough cause everyone would be interested in my story, ya know been a famous modder and all *cough, splutter*

my brother (who's younger than me, and obssessed with EVERY video game) accidently made friends with some guy real creepy kid, but he showed him morrowind, then my brother got it, and i installed it, (2005) i've played through it once, but other than that i've just gone mad about modding it, i'm not a fan of games really, just like thngs i can be creative with, oh and 15 male :P

I'm suprised by the amount of teenagers here, over at skyrim on skype i'm the little one, who annoys everyone :P , thought this game was meant to be dead?

Haha. I think I would have been banned years ago if I posted when I was drunk. :swear: :ninja:

EDIT: By the way, I keep hearing mention of people BS'ing on skype, is there some sort of morrowind modder channel deal (never really used skype not sure how it works?) I like to talk [censored] to people once in a while, might actually be fun while I am toying around with WIP models and junk. :)

Pffft, still in your 20s. Not a chance. My grandfather was a 70 year old gamer. It's too bad he didn't live to see anything beyond the original Sim City though. He played the hell out of that game. :(

I always thought you were older. Maybe that's because I never seen you get into silly fights about modding are anything like that.

55/m, started playing MW just after it came out. It's the only computer game I've played . I'm still trying to figure out the cs and the only modding Ive done is to tweak some npc's to suit my tastes. I do use a lot of mods ,so to all you old timers regardless of age  Thanks

Skype works the same way MSN . The big different is it works great as a mic for live talking and pretty good as a camera.

15/Male.

Started playing a while back. I played Oblivion before Morrowind, but I quickly realized I love Morrowind a great deal more.
I mod a bit, not much. Just some small tweaks here and there, mainly private mods.

I may start a new mod soon based on an old one, I just need to find the time for it.

30/Male

Started playing on the XBox back in 2002, upgraded to the GOTY when it came out, and kept playing until my XBox died. *chuckle* Got a decent PC a few years ago and decided I should try Morrowind with mods, which was a mind blowing experience. Eventually, the skulls in the game forced me to start modding and help create "Better Skulls."

16/male,

@SamirA, I certainly don't care if you are or aren't a terrorist, which you likely aren't.

I myself started modding recenttly. On a bit of a hiatus, in part because I'm on vacation away from my modding laptop, and also because applying for TR interior work and being rejected is denoralizing.

Don't look at it that way. Even people from TR had to start somewhere.

Ya know the other day I reinstalled to strip MW of a lot of mods and get it almost bare bones with the exception of very very few mods and Better Skulls at first didn't make the cut. Then I ran around a bit and came across a few of the vanilla skulls and almost had a heart attack from the ugliness. Needless to say Better Skulls is back in my install. Wonderful work.

I would like to reiterate Skydyes sentiment.

Back in the day when I first started learning to model I applied to join ME-mod and they turned me away. They were right to turn me away, I svcked back then. :D Instead of getting depressed and feeling sorry for myself it kinda motivated me to try to improve my skills. If ME-mod were still going, I would like to think that at my current skill level they wouldn't turn me away.

Keep at it man, eventually you will get there and possibly look back and think, "Wow I really did do crappy work back then." :D

?/lady. a lady never reviels her true age hahah. i really enjoied reading your insperational story there AnOldFriend3 . it reminded me a bit of how i got started as well. i had seen xenas outfit on pes but it was for stock bodies. so knowing that ppl from time to time have filed requests i put in one asking if anyone would make a better bodies version instead i just got dirrected to the warrior princess outfit already made for better bodies. which i already had and liked but wasnt the same as the one i wanted. no one took me up on my request and like you instead of getting up set about it or discouraged or flaming the post with angery messages about why no one would help me i decided that i would learn how to do it my self. and becuase of that i have released several fairly decent outfits. sooo while id like to thank thoese who have helped me past and present. i must also thank those who never did.

I'm glad to see that there are a lot of other thirty-somethings like me here :P (all of the sudden I'm having flashbacks to an eighties TV show  )

Anyways, I'm a thirty-two (for now) year-old male who got started in modding by altering other mods that I was using..... I'll admit it, my first mod works where mild cheats :hehe: then learned a little here and a little there. I still keep learning things, but my greatest tool is my imagination. ;)

I honestly can't call myself a full-on modder since I've only made a handful of releases and have a longer list of abandoned projects. :nope:

hahaha, who's doesn't? i'm sure if i started another poll called "how many of your mods have u quit?" nearly every one would vote 5x as many as they've released.

18/m. Yay for the boring majority!

Wait.. There's females in a gaming forum? :homestar:

Where's that hair gel... :disguise:

In all seriousness (as much as is possible in these forums :P), never actually really released much. About 95% of my mods are landmass mods that never get past exterior design. The other 5% http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=User.EntriesListing&id=448857. Hopefully my current project will actually get somewhere.

I actually started Morrowind 7 years ago on Xbox, back when I thought it was the bee's knees. I've since got into PC gaming, and modded Morrowind is the greatest thing to ever happen to my gaming life. (I'm such a nerd :hehe: )

I'm one of the few people that didn't have a period where I didn't not like Morrowind. Most usually say that they had came back to Morrowind because they didn't initially like it.

I'm twenty-two years old, and male; not quite the largest demographic according to the poll, but close enough. Sorry to be one of the boring ones just here to make up the numbers.

I've been playing Morrowind since nearly the beginning; a friend got the game at release and I soon after got a copy to play. Though a few of them continued to appreciate the game, as time moved on, their interests waned. They know that I am still playing, but haven't played themselves for quite some time now. Ah, well.

I've been using mods for quite a while, now, but only in December of 2008 did I build a desktop that could handle all of the mods that I wanted plus MGE and have a decent framerate (playing on my laptop with Intel chipset flickering could be rough but I enjoyed it enough that it didn't matter). Previous incarnations of my Morrowind install had come and gone, but upon getting this desktop, I began what I now consider to be my definitive Morrowind install. I've been through many, many mods, installing, testing, fixing, and archiving periodically as I move a little closer to perfection.

I'd used the CS a few times to fix issues, but until late December of 2009, I had never thought to be a modder. I began working on Elemental Magicka after feeling inspired to try, and while I can't texture or model and have limited experience with dialog or interior/exterior design, I found comfort in scripting. It feels nice when all the pieces fall into place. I have so many ideas that I want to implement after I finish Elemental Magicka (or at least, a first final revision), and hope to be modding for a long, long time.
