who are the GOOD guys...

I know in an interview they said they are both good, but if someone were to win, who should it be and why?

The aren't both good, but they are not both evil. They just have there morals, and I don't know who would win and I don't care that much as long as the story is good I'm fine.

I've said it before: The conflict is totally morally ambiguous, other than the fact that the Security is preventing the Resistance from leaving the Ark.

There's two sides to every war.

Each side thinks what they are fighting for is "right"

So, there really isn't a "right" side. Just depends on who you want to fight for.

I honestly think that the resistance are the good guys becouse they are fighting a society that no longer functions the way that it should, if the ark was a sustainable island then the resistents would be the "bad" guys...

but games are always better if ur the bad guy... look at GTA 4 (well all of the GTA series).

“If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell.”

Ok, tone down the text a bit there...

The Ark WAS sustainable for the amount of people it was intended to sustain....

They also want to take more rations from the Security, for they think they got more than they do

And to leave the Ark they would have to use up alot of resources which sustains the Ark and keeps it floating, yes? :o

What? Dude... who says they ALL would want to leave? And even if they did, they all wouldn't do it in one boat. They all already own shipping crates that they use for housing, anyway. Houseboat time.

The wealth that Robin Hood was stealing was acquired by immoral means, though. Big difference. He was returning property that originally belonged to the victims.

I swear I remember someone mentioning in one of the commentary videos (but I can't find the video so I can't back this up) that one of the resistance goals is that if they don't achieve their other goals (equality and such) then they will destroy the ark (probably why they were putting a bomb on a reactor in this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mho-QeFh0Kk ). That isn't exactly the stuff that heroes are made of.

Which ever side you are on.

Anyway there was a thread on this topic but it was closed because people can't stay civil.

Literally nobody as far as I'm concerned. Well, unless there's peaceful, non-violent revolutionaries in the Resistance.

I am not going to vote because there is no good or bad and that is one thing that makes this game so awesome. I don't care who wins because it is going to be the war that will be fun

I always used to think the resistance. But the security are technically a police force, so their aims are to 'protect' the people of the arc. In the end I couldn't decide so I left it at that!

Seeing as I made a tool out of myself for arguing on a very similar discussion, I'm neither going to vote nor argue one way or the other.

hard to argue though cause Res eyes the Secs are cruel tyrants hording food and resources but in Secs eyes they're just doing they're job. for the Res they starve to death so there are hundreds of family's starving to death weekly maybe daily (houses 5000 ppl now houses 50,000 people) so think of it as vengeance for a senseless war but for Sec brothers mothers sisters and fathers could have been killed in revolts of the Res children shot in crossfires so either one has good enough reason to fight and if your going for a war isn't the answer ...answer then FPS won't exist.

That's never been stated, to my knowledge. It's been said that the refugees are provided less than the Founders and Security, but never that they were starving or dying due to malnutrition.
