Who are you pre-ordering from

As the UK/EA pre-order stuff hasn't been announced yet i can't say, would be cool if Bethesda/SD does a massive box with codes for everything in :)

I would spend money on that. Instantly.

It doesn't take much to buy me over, lol.

I really really want the Psycho pre-order, that tattoo and the mask sold it for me.

I probably will not pre-order, but if I had to, I would choose Special Ops. But I lol'd when I saw the Fallout 3 pack.

I might just order one for me and get Spec Ops through that, and buy and edition with the Psycho pack for a friend and have him pay me back. That way I get the best of both worlds.

i was considering doing something similar, but I wasn't sure if you would actually be able to use more than one, as I don't know how they plan to award you the items.

I plan on doing online pre-orders, and the way those worked is they sent an email containing a download code to you when it is released. You would just enter a code on Xbox Live, your crap would unlock, and then you enter the second code. The thing is, all copies of Brink have the Doom/Fallout/Spec Ops/Psycho packs, a person just can't access it without the codes. At least, this is the way most multiplayer games work. It's just a technical thing because people couldn't play together if they have different content loaded.

Doom, but only because I always pre order from Game Stop since it's five minutes away from my house, I doubt I'll actually use any of the items though.

That said, Phycho mask would hold my attention for about five minutes, but I'm either going to use some armor or go Rambo style shirtless for the most part.

I'll probably get spec ops because I have a walmart close to my house. Or I could get the doom from gamestop but I'm not really a doom fan. Honestly, I don't think it really matters what pre-order bonus you get, because I'm sure youll be switching out the items/weapons a few hours into the game anyway. Also, the mask for spec-ops looks terrible compared to the other masks of that type.

Well, if its truly exclusive, I'll be happy to be able to pull that mask out a year down the road and show it off. If the packs are just early access, and you are able to pay for them, then ill be getting one of the two weapons for free. Either way, I'm quite content with getting the Spec Ops. I also like the tattoo the most out of the ones I've seen so far.

And I'll pull out a weapon from one pack and the mask from the other and let everyone know I swindled my friend out of his pre order bonus. lulz

First off, let me introduce myself, actually don't worry you guys probably don't care who I am, haha.

I do have a question though.
So these packs are like "locked" on retailers, so if I preorder from EB Games ( A branch of Gamestop, I believe. ) I will get the DOOM pack, can I unlock items from other packs in game?
Or do I have to buy them too (basically buying 4 games from 4 different retailers) ?

I know it kinda sounds silly to buy 4 different games, but I've seen some worrying child-teens, and well it made me worry haha~

I am guessing that, you can unlock the items from the other "packs" by just playing the game, and I hope so too, If I preorder (most likely) I will be getting the DOOM pack, but I really like the Psycho pack, especially the Psycho mask!

No, the official post says "These pre-order bonuses will be offered exclusively through participating North American retailers and will be made available in Europe and Australia in the coming weeks." which means that this will be the only way that you can get those items. There is a chance that the bonus packs will become a DLC later on, but the wording makes me think that's unlikely.

But, if you can somehow get your hands on more than one unlock code, I imagine you could use them. I'd probably even be willing to pay someone for a psycho unlock code, but I'm not really sure how to arrange such a thing. Seems like it would be quite easy to turn it into a scam.

Oh my, That's not cool, exclusive weapons to only selected retailers. I mean, DLC would be nice. But to have it locked on certain retailers kinda svcks. I'm 16, I got my learners license and all but no Visa card to buy from Amazon or whatnot, and I doubt mum would let me use her Visa/Credit card etc.

And I have this thing, I love to play, "crazy" looking characters, like Mmorpgs = assassins types. So this psycho pack is that "crazy" thing that I'm after ..

and not to have it available is just sad :(
I'm not saying it would make me not buy the game, that would be immature since that is just one of many things the game offers.

Thanks for a quick reply.

I would suggest you get a visa gift card then. They can be used in every way that a credit card can, but have a prepaid balance.
You can pick them up at most drug stores, but here's a locator, just in case.
http://usa.visa.com/locators/gift-card-locations.jsp

I should point out though, that the gift card will create a bit of waste. There's a fee to prepay the card, and you will end up having some money left over on the card after you buy the game. The remaining balance can be used on other purchases, but its just something to consider.

Oh, and i should add that there's a third possibility that people have mentioned. As the release date gets closer, they may have a collectors edition that offers more than one pack, or maybe different bonuses, at an increased price.

What I'm going to to is pre order the game from two different sites so I can get the spec ops and the psycho pack. I'll tell a friend who's interested in Brink that I'm just adding his order to mine, I'll keep the downloadable content, and I'll have him pay the sixty bucks for the game.

I'll pay the tax and shipping on the game, so I don't feel like so much of a swindler.

I can honestly say that the psycho mask and tattoo have no appeal to me.

As a game addition the other packs are better by far. I just like the aesthetic appeal it would bring a character, in all honesty I probably won't use the mask at all. I haven't quite figured out how I want my Operative to play yet, and if I choose professionally than that will influence my dress style. But as I don't want to play as Security at the moment this is the pack for me.

Actually, I consider Psycho and Spec Ops to be tied as the best packs. They both get an exclusive weapon and weapon upgrade in addition to pieces of an outfit. The other two packs just have outfits and weapon skins.

It's a failing of mine that I didn't really pay the weapons much attention. Since I can only speculate about what the stats might be I'm focusing on the outfits and how I might like my character to look.
