Who copied who?

Post » Sat Oct 01, 2011 1:43 pm

Just watched this trailer and at the end the title does the exact same turn side on and transform into "11 - 11 - 11" just like it does at the end of all the Skyrim videos...thought it an odd coincidence

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VdONYkKFmQ&feature=fvwrel

It's probably more just because its a catchy thing to do, I'm sure that in 2012 some games and movies will be released on the 12 - 12 - 12....funny though that the exact style of animation is used here though.

Cheers,

Craig

Its not funny, its just logical. Not much creativity can go into how to display a one...

I don't think we will see many 12-12-12 games, way too close for Christmas. They need at a bare minimum a month beforehand to effectively use the holiday shopping season.

Never heard of it and Skyrim was announced back in December of 2010, so if anyone "copied", it was them. Also, that movie looks horrible.

It's cheesy though because 9 characters becomes 6.

Works Better for Skyrim, because Skyrim and 11 11 11 are both 6 characters long. In this video, half the letters fade out and it looks rather lame.

Agree there, Skyrim works much better since it's the right amount of letters.

My 12-12-12 was just an example, though I'm sure there were 10-10-10 games and movies last year :P (that didn't necessarily use the same kind of animation, just talking about the use of catchy / tricky dates for release dates in regards to this)

Movie doesn't look too bad, mind you I much preferred the 1981 Clash of the Titans to the recent re-make (which was just hollywood money grabbing [censored]). I did enjoy 300 as well ;)

Only thing that matters is that she's hot.

Movie looks kinda cheap. Honest, nothing to do with it's relation to Skyrim's release date. It looks a little low budget or something.

Yeah, well some of it looks like it would have cost a lot to make, but then other parts... I dunno, look kinda bland or low quality. Possibly just not that great art direction.

Movie snob  Looks okay to me. I'll watch it...when it comes out on dvd.

She's hot.

The dude's *not*. They should've got some of the guys from 300 because the men in this movie look bleh.

OT: The date definitely looks similar to Skyrim. Could be coincidence but considering the movie looks ripped from many of its type before it, I wouldn't doubt it was copied from Skyrim. True originality is lacking these days.
